Stuff we see we solve, the stuff we don"t see kicks our ass

Turning the impossible possible.... results in flow

I have been listening to a podcast... two and a half hour long, so I can take only a half hour here, a half hour there...

The sentences above are from that podcast... a conversation about how to get into your flow state.

Because I have client with a half-done Juice Exercise call, I am looking for some help in that podcast... some more inspiration than I already have... More faith, more confidence...

...while I am pondering why don"t more people apply, apply in droves, to see what gives them juice?

Because once you see it and see it accurately, bring it out of the invisible, you feel that you have to.

Let me ask you a question? When you are hungry, do you feel that you have to eat? Of do you feel that you want to eat? That eating is good for you?

Can you see what I am saying? The Juice Exercise brings to light what gives you a sense of joy, what allows you to feel energized, hooked up, alive, turned on... by allowing you to see what it is.
And yet you and the 99-percenters opt to remain blind. Opt to cut your nose in spite of your face.

Because once you know what gives you joy, you want to bring it to all of your life, to every aspect of it.

And that may mean bringing it to every area of life, as a context, consciously.

My example: I found that what brings juice for me is bringing the divine to everything. Every action, every aspect of my life, to all of life.

So, in practice this means that the most menial, most mundane, or maybe even painful activities that one must perform to live, can be turned into a spiritual experience, a source of joy.

There are a ton of activities I don"t like... but I can bring the divine to it, and then it"s enjoyable. Doing the laundry, feeling another"s pain, even doing the Juice Exercise... not fun.

The Juice Exercise, for example, is probably very enjoyable for the client: after all we dig into what they like and why, their experiences, and everyone loves to talk about themselves.

For the practitioner it is not fun. The conversation is almost exclusively about things that are not relevant, that are happenstance, that are not real sources of joy. Trudging, trudging, and hoping.

And then, as if the sun came out from a cloudy sky, accidentally, some light shows up, and then the conversation takes a turn: we are in the finish line.

Most clients go away happy, but I know better.

Insights are a dime a dozen, really.

Unless insights are turned into a new context for life, and it takes time, the insight: what gives you juice, is limited to itself... a bright spot in a night sky...

I discovered my Juice about 10 years ago. It"s taken me many years to integrate my life around it. NOT integrate it into my life... NO! the other way around.

I made it the context, the organizing principle of my life. It was especially needed in areas where I didn"t already have that.
  • Where I was out to prove that I was smart...

  • where I was superior...

  • where I felt activities were below me...

  • where I felt that the circumstances needed me to fit in...

  • wherever I was less than I wanted to be.

It was the guiding light that showed me and helped me, in the right context, make the changes I needed to make so I can truly bring the divine, not the idea of the divine, but the divine itself, to life.

I have clients whose life seemingly turned around after the Juice Exercise, but at some point that "seemingly" collapsed into itself.
What happened is this: the Juice turned into an activity, instead of an organizing principle.

Is it their fault? Maybe.

Is it my fault? Certainly. Especially if I was in a position to regularly and diligently nudge them to integrate their lives around the Juice.

Why didn"t I do it?

Honestly? You want me to be honest, right? Righto...

I didn"t know it.

I am not an all knowing, blameless, son of god guru.

I am an ordinary human, who learns as they go.

I listen to my old recordings, and I can hear it. Clearly. I get frustrated at people"s insistence to do nothing, to remain locked into the small box, at their refusal or reluctance, or belligerence to be inspired.

From my vantage point the most important starting point measure is the measure that shows how inspired you can become and how inspired are you now? ((1. your vibration (1-1000):
2. your overall intelligence, emotional, intellectual, spiritual, body, relationship, etc.:
3. the number of spiritual capacities you have:
4. your soul correction (your machine): https://www.yourvibration.com/sc
5. do you have attachments?
6. the level of your health (1-100):
7. the level of your cell hydration (1-100):
8. your relationship to feedback and instruction:
9. The level of discomfort you are willing to allow w/o trying to fix it. This is your TLB score...
10. The size of your vocabulary: the number of words you can use accurately:
11. Your about-me score, also the inverted number of humility:
12. # of fixed mindset:
13. Ambition:
14. Desire:
15. Degree of inauthenticity/pretense self overall:
16. Level of integrity 1-100, the relationship between you and you:
17. how enslaved are you to memes? (what percentage of your life is run by memes?)
18. do you have a bridge between your precious "I" and your actual I? What is your level of delusion
19. To what degree you have access to your adult capacities %
20. How teachable/how coachable are you?
21. The level of your awareness?
23. the percentage of time you spend in the mind:
24. the percentage of input that gets through to you.
25. How inspired can you become? And what level are you now
26. To what degree you honor your feelings as reality?
27. What is your cone of vision in degrees? this tells me whether you can connect the dots...

))

This measure shows me how much energy I need to lead them. How much elbow room I have to work with. Also, how much difference the Juice Exercise can make for them.

By the way, the how inspired can you get measure is suppressed by the desire number, which I should rename "the wanting number", and the Desire Trap I should rename the "Wanting Trap", because the word wanting expresses clearer what we are talking about. Desire is actually sacred.

One of my students caught herself envying a friend of hers. She is in the Playground, so she ended up looking at reality, and she saw that envy, in the Reality space, is a guidance feeling: showing you what you desire, instead of just a sinful feeling. And very astutely she wrote down: my desire, my ambition is to take myself to a place where I can have that, do that, achieve that.

Most people I muscle test have 10% for "how inspired you can get" and about 1-3% of how inspired they are now.

Not a lot of elbow room to grow.

And then there are others with 30-50% as the higher number, and 10% or less as the lower number, and I can inspire them to bring those number closer to live a blessed life through finding out their Juice.

Closer... not to match. What animates a human is the gap between those two numbers. But unless the natural, innate, divine Juice is distinguished, the animation goes towards stuff that causes more grief than pleasure.

Some people suppress inspiration, because it has already been declared frivolous and impossible. Their past failures are projected into the future. And in spite all appearances, I need to bring the divine to our conversations to inspire them, to help them release the divine in them.

That is one of those "jobs" I don"t like, and don"t do very well, or very consistently.

If there is one thing I envy the famous motivational gurus for is their abundant ability to look at people and see reality: they say: if you are breathing, you can be inspired.

It clashes with my soul correction, but I am working on getting better at it... even though I still see reality as a "Forget Thyself" person sees reality.

But whenever I was willing to inspire: it paid dividends, and seemingly hopeless people started to move up the scale.
I am willing to be wrong about reality... And allow the divine to call the shot.

There is a gap still between willing and able... so I have a lot to grow.

I have recently declared: no one left behind! And if it is really up to me, as it probably is, and if it takes inspiring people so they can live out of a higher reality than they have, then I"ll do it.

It feels, at this stage, that I have to turn myself inside out.

But then I remember what drew me to Landmark Education (it was Werner Erhard and Associates back in the early 80"s) it was the slogan "Creating a world that works for everyone, with no one left out".

I sure felt left out, hopeless, and alone, with no one claiming that I matter and show that the world could work for me too, not just for other people.

This is why I threw myself into assisting, and doing all the programs of the wea... because I saw that it is not other people"s job to create the world where I belong, it is my job, it is every person"s job.

Belonging is up to you. No one can make you feel that you belong, only you.

I have never stopped creating the world where I belong, however obnoxious methods I have used...

This past week I must have turned a corner in that, because two people looked at me differently...

You see, when you belong, you give people permission to belong too.

One of those people was my older brother who thanked me for the conversation. It happened once before, but that was about three years ago.

I guess I wasn"t focusing on what I wanted to say...

I will have to experiment more, what creates a sense of belonging in people. But I am almost certain that bringing my Juice, bringing the divine to the call had a major role.

I have always said: what you see drives your actions. What you don"t see can"t...

So my most important job is bringing the divine to seeing... so I can see more of reality.

Stuff we see we solve, the stuff we don"t see kicks our ass

What"s the truth about you? Can you become all you can be from some energies? DNA activation?

As I was looking what others say about DNA activation, I found that they all say something mystical, scientific sounding b.s.

I did something this morning I haven"t done in years: I listened to one of my old webinars, step 6 of the Second Phase Activators.

I didn"t remember, but the subtitle of that course is: "Let"s change what"s true about you"

So Step 6 is about courage-desire-surrender...

The context of the whole course is causing the qualities, the capacities, the abilities in you that allow you to become all you can be.

And what is in the way is everything you know about yourself, everything you know to be true about the world, and, of course, the qualities that are opposite of the qualities you need.

In the case of this step: courage vs cowardice, succumbing to fear. Desire vs to have not the desire to achieve, but wanting. Surrender vs resist.

I am going to make it a habit, maybe once a week, twice a week, to make an appointment with myself, in my calendar, to do a step, like a student, not like an audience.

I admit, I listened to this step today as an audience. I loved it, but it didn"t change anything in me... because I was playing Freecell as is my habit.

But one part I did "participate", muscle tested if I have courage, desire, surrender active in my DNA. And found that courage turned off... and I can tell it from the way I shy away from doing anything that is not foolproof to succeed. Cowardly.

Desire and surrender ARE active.

There are lots of capacities in this course, over 100, and you can tell what is missing.

The world suffers from courage deficiency... a symptom of society being trained to be sheep. A society being trained to be more interested in how they look, than what they actually do, what they actually want to accomplish.

And, obviously, I got caught up in the same thing... and it is time to get back on the ball again, and push the envelope.

So, in addition to putting the Second Phase activators in my calendar, I will schedule definite steps, action steps, that require courage, or the capacity will turn of from non-use.

That is the nature of reality: anything that isn"t needed gets turned off... because to maintain it takes energy that is better used somewhere else.

  • I used to be a math whiz... but for decades I didn"t use any math... and it turned off.

  • I used to be fluent in many languages, but all of them turned off.

When you talk about muscles, because it is visible, scientist call it atrophy... but it"s the same thing. You are left with hanging skin where once you used to have muscles... unless you prove to your body that you need those muscles by regularly using them.

Wherever attention goes, energy flows. No energy flow... atrophy results.

And because this is a principle, it is true everywhere. It is true about capacities. It is true about reality, feelings, voices, what other people think... what"s wrong with you, with life, with the "other"...

You need to practice directing your attention, at least as much as you would practice directing your skis, the bullet from your gun, or training your horse... or it will run away with you.

I teach one thing in the Playground: where to direct your attention, and I teach 100 things in the Second Phase Activators course.

In my humble opinion you need both if you want to live a life worth living...

Both will take about a year to complete. Unless you have an investor"s mind, you won"t do it, even if you buy either... although you"ll do better with the Playground.

Why? Because of the support of the partner setup, the weekly calls.

I just had this brainstorm that I could offer the Second Phase activator in the same way: in a partnership, where you get one step a week, both you and your partner, and then you two design actions to co-creatively keep each activator on and be accountable to each other.

The price is the same as the 67 steps coaching, or the Reclaim your power coaching, $15 a week, but if you don"t do the program, and the partnership, I kick you out...

The price is the same whether you already have the program or not. The real value is in the partnership and in the coaching.

here is the talk part of Step 6, just so you get an idea how the sessions are.

Delusion of choice, bread of shame, perpetration-withhold... dynamics in the invisible reality

what is your level of vibration?I am like a dog with a bone... and this bone, even though I have talked about it, is going to get some chewing done on... because it is coming up and is in my face.

OK, what am I talking about?

We have been talking about reality... a lot, but mostly we have been talking about the visible part of reality, what the Martian can see.

Now, that is just great, but what about the invisible part of reality, the more than 90% of reality?

Really good and tricky question. The invisible part is, by the way, the "don"t know that you don"t know" part of reality.

But, luckily, we do know some stuff from that invisible part due to some incredibly observant people who can connect the dots... visible, invisible, principles that are true in either area.

The entire work of Landmark Education is about that... the invisible principles, the invisible dynamic, that are also true in the visible. It is due to Werner Erhard"s work... whether the principles came from his brain, or he found them... I really don"t know.

And many of those are taken a lot further by me in 33 years.

If I needed to look for a thing I have a talent for, I would say it"s distinguishing invisible principles. A perfect match for someone mildly autistic, who can see stuff other people miss.

But, like most everything we deal with, things that we dig out of the invisible, seem to have a life of their own, and they appear to be shape shifters... look and feel different, depending on the environment.

One of these principles I thought I have dealt with, licked it, annihilated it, just raised its ugly head, and I wasn"t prepared for it.

The principle is called Bread of Shame, coupled with another called perpetration/withhold.

It is a Kabbalistic principle... meaning from the Kabbalah.
Make no mistake — nothing is free in this world. Nothing. We either pay now or we pay later with some form of chaos in our life. Nothing is free.

Bread of Shame is a fundamental Kabbalistic concept and it is a fact and law of this universe. Bread of Shame means we receive nothing in this physical dimensions known as planet earth without earning it. Why?

Because we, the souls of humanity, told the Creator we want to earn and become the very cause and creators of the fulfillment we receive. You see, there is something far more profound and infinitely greater than having endless paradise. What is that?

It’s creating and becoming the cause of the paradise that we are experiencing — instead of having it handed to us for free.

You can see that the New Age/Law of Attraction/Manifestation teachings trick people into wanting something for nothing, that they don"t have to earn what they want. But this is not true, in fact it is harmful. It activates bread of shame.

The higher your desire number, especially when it"s coupled with a low ambition number (the ambition number shows how much of what you want you are willing to cause, willing to work for) the more you are prone to Bread of Shame coupled with the perpetration/withhold dynamic.

So how does this come about?

Someone wants to give, because they have a lot to give.

The high desire person likes to receive... they are reaching for it.

But Bread of Shame activates the Perpetration/withhold... ((

Perpetration withhold- Part of the mechanism is to make sure someone else is upset

Feelings of:
Guilt / Embarrassment
Suppression
Low Energy
Being Tired
Shame

Being caught being inauthentic, being caught in a lie.
One of the most difficult places to be in, you don’t want to deal with it.

We create a smokescreen and lie to cover up lies

We create upset to focus the attention on the upset and off the perpetration withhold

We blame someone else, and then create an upset.

Once you see the design of the upsets you can take responsibility for your perpetration withhold

Distinguish your perpetration withholds
Complete them / clean them up / take responsibility)) and it creates anger/hate blaming it on the giver. Because the recipient receives too much unearned.

Now, Kabbalah says that the recipient needs to manage their receiving, but they don"t... they won"t.

In my experience, the giver needs to be responsible for the pain their giving causes, the hate they cause, and offer the recipient ways to reciprocate, to earn what they are receiving.

In my zeal to give all I"ve got, I have been forgetting to do that.

This past Wednesday, the day or reckoning for me, I realized that I never communicated how to earn all that you get and didn"t earn.

The Playground is one program I severely underprice, it should be about two thousand dollars for the year, roughly ten times more than it is.

And most of my coaching is severely underpriced... so I need to either limit the time I give, or ask for a compensation commensurate, corresponding in size or degree; in proportion, to my investment, and is not necessarily money.

So what can be a good compensation from you for what you get.

The world teaches you to say thank you. Your thank you is worthless. They are just words. I can hear that you either received no value, or don"t want to acknowledge that you have.
  • I have one student who, for months, was listening to and chopping up my Sunday Rants, a private conversation I have every Sunday. What she cut out are segments that can be listened to as independent podcasts. She did it for no compensation, other than what she could say she got out of doing it.

Today she is able to get what she is getting in the Playground, and she is able to be genuinely grateful not only for the program, but for the partner call and her partner. Her vibration is 200 now, while it was in the dumps before our "exchange" of energies. No bread of shame there... no perpetration/withhold.
  • Another student is meticulous of paying for every muscle test, every advice, and occasionally she sends me gifts that are quite valuable. Her vibration is also 200.

  • Another way to compensate for what you have gotten is supporting me in what is important to me.

Giving some time where you are not the recipient but the giver.

One example of this is the Talk to me calls on the last Wednesday of the month.

It"s been many months that none of the recipients of my care, coaching, attention showed up there. I have had many calls where one person showed up. I don"t mind talking to that person that showed up: every conversation is delightful to me, but it"s an echo thing: if you don"t give back to the person who gives you all they got, you are getting dangerously close to bread of shame... and perpetration/withhold.

So let me explain this Perpetration/withhold dynamic.

You feel, you consider something you did or do, as a perpetration. It could be thinking angry thoughts. It can be gossiping, blaming, railing against someone. Or it can be something more overt... like stealing, not keeping your promise, promising but not delivering, cheating, lying, etc.
Any action YOU consider harmful, even as you are doing it.

And god knows, I make people angry, so this probably happens to my students a lot.

Then you don"t come clean about it, you withhold the truth from me.

No big deal, right? But the inner dynamic dares to differ. You start to cover up your perpetration with anger. Not at yourself, no. At me. It may grow into hatred, blame. Now everything is my fault.

Cutting your nose in spite of your face... Your integrity falls through the floor. Your vibration falls through the floor. You are punishing me through getting really miserable.

And that is the dynamic.

So what can you learn from this?

Feeling angry is normal... withholding it is harmful. So just tell me: I am really angry at you... and we can clear the air.
And feeling you are getting too much, feeling the burden of bread of shame: just ask how you can compensate, even out the scales. We"ll start with your empty promises, I can almost guarantee it.

Certain soul corrections are more prone to this dynamic than others.

If you have the desire trap, as a major component of your soul correction, then you are definitely more prone to it than other people.

"Sexual energy", the soul correction, is all about this dynamic.

My younger brother, for years, depended on my generosity for his income: I sent him money every week, and then caught myself, and "hired" him, to do some work for me. I didn"t need his work, and it took me more time to create assignments for him that it took for him to do, and they were of no real value to me.

Then I realized that he was watching soccer games while "working" and started to damage my site"s reputation in the search engines, etc. I fired him.

He is so angry at me, that we haven"t spoken for years, and probably will die without ever speaking again.

It is all soul correction of the "sexual energy". Even as a child his motto was: "It is my due" whatever it was, candy, or anything. And he also snubs my older brother, before that he snubbed my father... He will accept (take) and not give.

There is a wonderful test you can do with yourself or with another: call them a zebra, and see how they take it, how they react.

Then call them what you feel their worst thing is... in the case of a "sexual energy" person, tell them that they are a taker. You won"t hear the end of it. They will be offended. Personally offended.

Call a "Finish what you start" person "all haughty talk, no production" and they will be offended.

Each soul correction has its code word... The real soul correction.

Unless you are in action to correct that one thing, which start with embracing it, owning it, and allow consciousness to see it 360 degrees, your vibration will never rise permanently.

For me what there was to get, being a soul correction "Forget Thyself" is that my attitude in teaching, talking, is, "I know and you don"t, and I"ll tell you". Superiority colored with condescension.

You can only imagine how ineffective I was with coaching until consciousness managed to rein it in most of the time. It didn"t change my base nature, it changed my attitude, but it is still work.

Your soul correction will not go away.

Why is a dog happy and you are not?

I bet the title of previous article, "Are you a taker" got instantly translated in your head to "Are you bad?" What you don't know is that if you are not allowed to take, you won't be allowed to give... the ultimate stingy... If you are not allowed to live according to your nature, you … Continue reading "Why is a dog happy and you are not?"

The 3 "Seeing Keys" to the Kingdom

This are the rarest human qualities, rarest capacities of all. They require high level of consciousness... that is why. Of course no one is high consciousness or low consciousness... we are all on a scale of consciousness. For example I discovered, doing the experiment with the candy yesterday, through glimpses of my behavior and thoughts, that side by side the high vibration, high consciousness person there are remnants of callousness (showing or having an insensitive and cruel disregard for others, cold hearted, unfeeling) that I wasn't aware of. It includes me, it includes my health, it includes everyone. I woke up at 3 am from a nightmare... a tiger was licking my dog (I don't actually have a dog, I have never had one) before it would eat it, and it was all my fault... I was scrambling for some weapon, until I stumbled onto a rake, and stabbed the tiger with it and it let go of the poor dog.

Don't look at the marshmallow!

I like failed experiments. Why? Because successful experiments are more likely the result of confirmation bias... So even in experiments I opt for the Anna Karenina Principle: remove all that isn't a certain yes, everything that is accidental in the results or make the result a bad result, something I don't want. So I am preparing for an experiment today, the "don't eat the marshmallow" experiment. I have been, thus far, absolutely unreliable and untrustworthy to not eat something I should not eat, like candy or chocolate, or fruit. So I ordered a 10 oz bag of dark chocolate covered mint patties, sugar free. Last time I did this I ate all of it within 16 hours...

Want to keep your vibration high at Christmas?

I am sitting at my computer, observing the emails I get, observing people's behavior. It seems that the (Christian) world is disappearing into two main fantasy lands, two main unrealities: Christmas, and making cash infusion into their lives. All horizontal plane, all hurry, all puppets on a string. All based on the unreality of lack. (I will write about this lack issue in another article... it's important, so I may even email you to let you know...) Your life is dominated by the separation of the two selves: the higher self is sent into its room for these last days of the year, and the lower self is throwing its weight around.

How to get out of the rut?

Simple answer: You lack skills and capacities... You can boil water, make coffee in the coffee maker, drive a car, open your smartphone... You are not quite hopeless... or are you? Not quite hapless either... or are you? ((Here is an article, 10% truth value... others talk about the topic... read it and feel how confusing it is...

Skills vs Competencies. What’s the Difference?

Gail Sturgess-December 6, 2012-Competency Management

What is a Skill?

These definitions were extracted from a number of different sources, but they all seem to say, more-or-less, the same thing:
  • Proficiency, facility, or dexterity that is acquired or developed through training or experience.
  • The ability, coming from one’s knowledge, practice, aptitude, etc., to do something well
  • An ability and capacity acquired through deliberate, systematic, and sustained effort to smoothly and adaptively carry out complex activities or job functions involving ideas (cognitive skills), things (technical skills), and/or people (interpersonal skills).
  • A skill is the learned capacity to carry out pre-determined results
  • A learned ability to bring about the result you want, with maximum certainty and efficiency
  • Proficiency, facility, or dexterity that is acquired or developed through training or experience.

So, a Skill is something Learned in order to be able to carry out one or more job functions.

What is a Competency

Again, these definitions were extracted from a number of different sources:
  • A cluster of related abilities, commitments, knowledge, and skills that enable a person (or an organization) to act effectively in a job or situation.
  • Competencies refer to skills or knowledge that lead to superior performance.
  • Measurable skills, abilities and personality traits that identify successful employees against defined roles within an organisation
  • A competency is more than just knowledge and skills. It involves the ability to meet complex demands, by drawing on and mobilising psychosocial resources (including skills and attitudes) in a particular context.
  • A measurable pattern of knowledge, skills, abilities, behaviours, and other characteristics that an individual needs to perform work roles or occupational functions successfully.
  • Competencies specify the “how” (as opposed to the what) of performing job tasks, or what the person needs to do the job successfully.
Competencies, therefore, may incorporate a skill, but are MORE than the skill, they include abilities and behaviours, as well as knowledge that is fundamental to the use of a skill.

An Example

An example of this in an IT context is “Programming”. To effectively write a computer program one needs good analytical, logical, and interpretive ability as well as the skill to write the program in a specific language. So, learning Java, C++, C#, etc. is a Skill. But underlying the ability to use that skill effectively is analytical, logical and interpretive ability – those are Competencies. The reason that we suggest this is because it is relatively easy to learn other programming languages once one knows one language well (and I talk from personal experience). However, without the underlying Competence, it is virtually impossible to write an effective program – irrespective of the language.

Types of Competencies

Competencies effectively fall in three groups:
  • Behavioural (or Life Skills) Competencies Life skills are problem solving behaviours used appropriately and responsibly in the management of personal affairs. They are a set of human skills acquired via teaching or direct experience that are used to handle problems and questions commonly encountered in daily human life. Examples are: Communication, Analytical Ability, Problem Solving, Initiative, etc.
  • Functional (or Technical) Competencies Functional Competencies relate to functions, processes, and roles within the organisation and include the knowledge of, and skill in the exercise of, practices required for successful accomplishment of a specific job or task. Examples are: Application Systems Development, Networking and Communication, Database Analysis and Design, etc.
  • Professional Competencies Professional competencies are competencies that allow for success in an organisational context. They are the accelerators of performance or – if lacking in sufficient strength and quality – are the reason people fail to excel in jobs. Examples are: Business Environment, Industry and Professional Standards, Negotiation, People Management, etc.
Levels of Criticality In any organisation there are some Competencies that are more important than others, based on different criteria:
  • Core Competencies – Core competencies are those competencies that any successful employee will need to rise through the organisation. These Competencies would generally relate in some way to the business of the organisation.
  • Key Competencies – Key competencies contribute to valued outcomes of the organisation, defining the abilities of individuals to meet strategic demands, and are important not just for specialists but for all individuals.
  • Critical Competencies – Critical competencies are competencies without which the organisation will be unable to achieve it’s goals and strategy.

and some more clarification...

Skill: Noun Capacity to do something well; technique, ability. Skills are usually acquired or learned, as opposed to abilities, which are often thought of as innate. Capacity: noun (plural: capacities)
  • The ability to hold, receive or absorb
  • A measure of such ability; volume
  • Capability; the ability to perform some task
  • Mental ability; the power to learn
  • A faculty; the potential for growth and development ))
If you remember, my passion, my purpose, my reason d'etre is to penetrate the invisible portion of all knowledge. It gives me joy, and it keeps me busy. One of the tools I use to do my "work" is the ability to see what I feel. See its size, nature, movement, and its connections to other things. I am an empath and I am (I hate the word) a clairsensar, which means what I just said... I see what I feel... blah blah blah.

Intrapersonal intelligence, the ability and willingness to look within and see accurately

People with intrapersonal intelligence are adept at looking inward and figuring out their own feelings, motivations and goals. They are quintessentially introspective. They analyze themselves and seek understanding. People with intrapersonal intelligence are intuitive and usually introverted.

A year or two ago I saw a rather amateurish but good Singaporean TV show (The Truth Seekers) that shook me to my core... and woke me up.

I may be a conspiracy seeker... but I have a hunch that we, humans, have been trained, for millennia,  by society to look the other way, to deny human nature, and escape into nice-nice, and sugar and spice, instead of confronting head-on what we call human nature.

In that show four people team up to solve unsolved crimes... and they start with their own family"s unsolved and painful questions, only to find out that life, people, events are not what they seemed to be, what they were touted to be... but much much worse.

In my last few articles I wrote about Reality for Dummies, and the dummies are all of us, everyone who had been blown smoke into our face, so we cannot dare to see others" evilness, and therefore hide our own, even from ourselves.

We, as a species, have been painstakingly trained to become weaklings, replace reality with pretty pictures, and suffer as a result.

Carl Jung said: Man needs difficulties; they are necessary for health

  • Knowing your own darkness is the best method for dealing with the darkness of other people.

  • People will do anything, no matter how absurd, to avoid facing their own souls

  • Depression is like a woman in black. If she turns up, don’t shoo her away. Invite her in, offer her a seat, treat her like a guest and listen to what she wants to say.

  • Everything about other people that doesn"t satisfy us helps us to better understand ourselves.

But most importantly: The foundation of all mental illness is the unwillingness to experience legitimate suffering.

If you are not happy, if you are not yourself, if you are not all you could be, then consider yourself mentally ill.

I don"t care what the psychiatrists say to define mental illness, I only care about taking you to a state where you can be happy, joyful, without positive thinking, without lying, without pretending.

If you consider "not happy" a mental illness, and it is, you can be taken to a path that leads to happiness.

Twitchy Little Bastards: The expression I borrowed from the Monday Morning Memo guy, famed advertiser, Roy H. Williams, is Twitchy Little Bastard. He wrote a book, Be Like Amazon, in the popular dialog format. That is where I read that first. But a google search reveals that Theodore Dreiser, Christopher Farnsworth, Jeremy Clarkson all used the expression. I have read the An American Tragedy long time ago, and still remember much of it.

Anyway, I borrowed that expression, TLB, Twitchy Little Bastard, to call your unwillingness to experience legitimate suffering, even for a moment. Hardship, difficulty, life itself. ((One ex-student emailed me an article, a new definition of life and intelligence of Life... that is intelligence"s ongoing and consistent efforting to make its mental representation of reality and reality match closely, to avoid surprises.

One of the symptoms of mental illness that effect most everyone is that they are always surprised. People, things, events don"t match their expectations. Your daughter won"t do what she is "supposed to do". Your wife doesn"t do what she is supposed to do. You don"t feel happy doing nothing while you continue to expect to feel happy. Your visualization doesn"t create what you visualize about, no matter how much you expect that it would. You can"t use that very expensive program no matter how much you expect to be able to grow a base understanding just because you bought it.

You see, I don"t exaggerate when I call your typical way of being a mental illness. You have abandoned getting feedback from reality, and live in your imaginary fantasy world, that leads to all these surprises.

It is time to return to sanity.))

But especially unwilling to face the tiger, face what is ugly inside, face the evil inclination, face what kind of a person you really are.

My "diagnosis" about humanity is that as long as your TLB is 1, society, designed to be a mental institution, that pretty much keep you in line, keep you in check, and you"ll never know yourself, you"ll never become a person, and you"ll suffer.

When you look around, you cannot see that everyone around you suffers: they have their smoke screen up: smiling, laughing, busy, good mother, pious, caring (ugh), etc.

But, of course, your view of everyone is covered up with your own image... (the cardboard cutout of you) and you only see what you can see peaking out from behind... and normally you see how good others are... and how bad, how afraid, how worthless YOU are.

But you are not seeing reality. There is no worthless, bad, or even afraid in reality.

In reality you can see what you do, and you can also see your inauthenticity: you feel, hope for, intend one thing, and do another.

You also hear your inner chatterbox, and you can see that your actions are not consistent with that either.

Only when you, with some help, can see the insanity of how you try to hide, from yourself, how you really are, that you can get some respite. Oh, I am that...

I own a book, whose title is "I am that", a transcription of the Mumbai guru"s talks, Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj.

I read the book. I was struck by the fact that this guru teaches that you are that thing, the soul, and your behavior, and your motivation, and your thoughts are something else.

But, of course, that is the kind of teaching that keeps you inauthentic and miserable. No wonder the whole world flocks to these gurus.

You are made up of a team of inner aspects, all claiming that "you are that", and not just that nice-nice... ego, history, soul, mind, etc.

Indian gurus teach you to be schizophrenic, which is just one of the mental illnesses.

They teach you to "be that" while you are doing untold evil with your body, your mouth, your mind, to yourself and others.

Reality, the reality of who you are being, the reality of what human being is like... is swept under the rug.

Don"t even look at it... it is not you... they say.

But it is you! And until you can look at it, you"ll remain miserable, ineffective in the world, or only effective at staying evil and broken.

In my new system or teaching I have set up that participants are asked to talk to their partner, or if they want, to more than one partner, has been invaluable. They record the call, so I can give them feedback. It is more work for me, but now they cannot hide.

Some arrive to seeing glimpses of their ugliness faster than others, but they all have a chance. Because that is the point, seeing it is when their vibration can start to rise, their consciousness starts to get liberated from its cage.

I have this partner setup in the Playground, which is a year long program, and in the Accountability Forum, which is month to month.

The Playground is for those who want to learn to look the tiger in the eye, to live free of the restrictions of unreality.

The Accountability Forum ((by invitation only)) is for those who have a vision of a life that is beyond what they can achieve with what they have, tools, skills, attitudes, capacities, and are willing to work, for years, to build a foundation on which they can build that life... a life worth living.

I only have two participants in the Accountability Forum, which should not surprise you: that level of commitment is rare. They are the apples of my eye, because they are really here to be taken all the way to heaven.

Yeah, to heaven. They report back daily, and get feedback from me, participate with their partner once a week, and form a synergistic relationship both with me and their partner.

It"s a big commitment. But if you ask them, they will say that it"s the best thing that has ever happened to them.

Read again: Is your inability to say what happened a type of mental illness?

This morning something pulled me back to bed after I got up.

I considered it guidance, and I got back to bed.

What came next was amazing: trips down memory lane, all centering around mental illness, mental stability, your TLB, and what was in common among the many people I remember so clearly, people I spent time with in mental institutions.

As an empath, other people"s feelings, emotions tend to tug at me. today 99% of what I feel is not mine... But before I became conscious, before I started to climb the consciousness tree, 30% of the feelings I felt were mine. I also had a lot more noise in my head... all talking at the same time.

The only reason I know, with 20/20 hindsight, that I was hospitalized not for what I felt, is that none of the medication worked... I wasn"t the person who was crazy, I just felt the craziness of others.

My theory of mental illness has always been that it is an escape... a hiding place.

It"s a sign that what seems to be coming at you is deemed too much by your brain. A little bit like losing consciousness when the pain is too big.

I only fainted twice in my life. Faint, as in losing consciousness... And of course I slept many times more... that is also losing consciousness.

I fainted when I was raped at age 3 and a half. And I fainted when my ovary burst open. Both times the brain decided that experiencing the pain was not of any benefit, so it shut down the consciousness.

Since then I learned, little by little, to become the eye of the storm. To be that... To be the place where nothing is happening. Utter peace and silence.

It is not that I can"t hear the storm, or that I don"t see the storm, or even that I can"t hear the voices: I have, through constant observation, distinguished that none of it is me...

Whereas the people who were in those wards, were considering everything they heard in their head, whatever their IT said, saying things and the opposite, they considered it something they could not escape.

This is why the Amish Horse Training Method is the foundation of every and any success with raising your vibration, and moving your life to a life worth living.

Some people have more skills in "doing it", than others.

I am learning to recognize the talent.

I have a few unusual pen-pals (I call them pen-pals because they aren"t students per-se, even though they did buy some products, read my articles, but our relationship is not father-child, it is more like i am their confidant).

They write down, straight quotes, what "IT", the voices are saying, instead of talking about it.

Here is an example of the two types of presentation:

1. the voice in my head says that you are crazy... and I am crazy to listen to you
2. I kind of feel like it may be a good idea to trust you.

When you have the mental habit of missing completely what is said, and you only remember the meaning you gave it, you are the talking-about type, and you are going to have a hard time doing the Amish Horse Training Method.

Why? Because as you hear it, you immediately switch to the interpretation, the meaning, the "therefore", which means: you considered listening to the voice, and you considered it actionable...

Your life is a puppet"s on a string... and until you listen and not interpret, you"ll remain a puppet.

The missing capacity, by the way, is humility.

In humility you listen fully, or not listen fully... but don"t push your interpretation and meaning to replace what is said.

When you have a conversation, I can feel you having a private conversation about it in your head... you are not in a conversation with the other... you are really not present.

You have that when you read, you have that while you listen to me. It is all about you... you are the center of the universe, and it renders you ineffective... and stuck.

Do I have an exercise for you to liberate yourself from the second conversation? Yes and no...

I once had a friend/client who complained that no one wanted to hear what he had to say.

I recommended that he starts listening in a way that any moment he"d be ready to say back the last sentence...

It"s wicked difficult if you are the "talking about" type of listener. But you can give it a shot. He did and he improved his experience with others... by a lot.

Is this how I listen?

No.

I listen as an immersion exercise: I immerse myself and I get wet.

I am fully with what you are saying, and I don"t think about it at all. I am there with you. It is very physical for me. I get what you say, I get what you are not saying, I get it... Nothing "about" in it for me. But I admit, I have a harder time to be there with you when you are the "talking about" type, because even YOU are not where you say you are... you are outside, looking in.

You are withholding reality, and dump on me your limited perspective of the human mind opinion... as the truth.

Now, when all my mental resources are used to imagine what you are not saying... I have hardly any resource remaining to coach you.

And even if I did... your map of reality (your interpretation) is so removed from reality, that hardly any coaching would work.

So what should you do if you are one of these "talking about" lacking humility types?

Practice, practice, practice. First in writing.

He said: "whatever"
She said: "whatever"
It said: "whatever"

It will be painful at first, because your huge ego will feel neglected, and pushed to the background.

But if you do it enough, you may be able to be one who can raise your vibration, because you"ll be able to do the Amish Horse Training Method effectively.

And suddenly you won"t be a lot like my mental ward friends...

No insult is intended. if you are insulted then you have already interpreted what I said...

Because humans are meaning making machines.
Human beings aren"t.

PS: Reading is one of the practices that can cause the biggest changes in your life... but you need to read the same way I listen to you: no commentary, no meaning, no private conversation.

Why? because instead of the book, you are left with, always, what you said about what you read...

Reading is one way you can change from "talking-about" person with little overlap between your map of reality and reality, or someone who is astute: you see what is there... no commentary.

Another practice is how you listen to the step in the 67 steps... are you staying with it? Or are you in your own conversation, because what you have to say about it is more important than the step?

Just notice. And then gently change how you listen, how you read...

Your life depends on it.
