Reality... the pragmatic approach that removes the misery, the suffering, even frustration

Back in the early 70"s I had a live-in boy friend, who was a philosophy student. His father was a famous philosopher, was a Hegel expert.

Hegel, I hear, is one of the most impenetrable philosopher to me. The family, father and three sons, had regular philosophy lessons.

I am not interested in philosophy, not a debating/argumentative person, but lately I am encountering philosophical questions that are at the root of my teaching: teaching you to be in harmony with life, teaching you to live a happy life. ((Here is an interesting philosophical article, that I chewed myself through... not pragmatist at all.))

One of the most important questions here is what is reality, what is real, because all that unhappiness we experience comes from what is not real.

What the dictionary says is not very useful... because what is the criteria? ((re·al·i·ty noun

  1. the world or the state of things as they actually exist, as opposed to an idealistic or notional idea of them.
    synonyms: fact, actuality, truth

a thing that exists in fact, having previously only existed in one"s mind.

the quality of being lifelike or resembling an original.

synonyms: verisimilitude, authenticity, realism, fidelity, faithfulness

antonyms: idealism

2.
the state or quality of having existence or substance.
"youth, when death has no reality"))

Of course, given our sensory organs and their limitations, the fact that most of reality lives in the invisible, and given our propensity ((noun: propensity; plural noun: propensities

an inclination or natural tendency to behave in a particular way.
"a propensity for violence"
synonyms: tendency, inclination, predisposition, proneness, proclivity, readiness, liability, disposition, leaning, weakness)) for having thoughts that have emotional effect on us, we have NO IDEA what is really real what isn"t.

I am a pragmatist...

I am a pragmatist... I am guided more by practical considerations than by ideals, and the practical consideration for me: does it improve your life, does it raise your vibration, does it make you more effective at living your life?

And even in the "how to teach" area I am more pragmatist that anything: my only goal in teaching is not to hear my voice, not to feel how smart I am, not how good what I am saying sounds; instead I am looking at you, the student, and I measure what is invisible but a good indication that you are more effective at living your life with the teaching than you were before the teaching.

I invented a methodology in my second year (1987) of participation in Landmark Education. It was inspired by a 12-step program plus a Landmark concept... and the Playground was born. ((Landmark Education is great at many things, but it is not great at really teaching anything... but why?

Because really teaching is a lot of handholding. And that is time consuming, and doesn"t pay well.

Landmark invented a method where unpaid participants (assistants) "coach" other participants...

But the system doesn"t quite work, because the training methodology looks only at certain measures to see if the assistant is qualified to coach... measures that don"t matter from the point of view of teaching.

Teaching is only teaching if it results in a lasting change in perception, and behavior. And Landmark Education, according to my personal experience and my muscle testing, doesn"t do a good job at that.))

The Playground was the first program I participated in (alas, as a leader more than a participant) that altered lives.

The first Playground practiced one movement, one perceptional move, and it produced miracles. With just movement.

The practice movement was to shift the attention and the emphasis from the words and emotions to reality.

We defined reality as what can be perceived, without words, by our sense organs. What a Martian would see/hear/smell etc.

Without the meaning. And by god, it worked. It worked mostly because of repetition. The kind of repetition that helps internalize what you learned... helps you able to make it instinctual. Automatic.

The principle was entirely Landmark, but the practice was what was new, and the practice is what made it work.

I revived the Playground a few years ago, and the first two times, it was a definite blah, mech experience because of the lack of lasting results. In fact it didn"t have any effect on how people lived their lives.

People didn"t practice between the calls, they were coming only to hear something new... not to learn how to live friction free... Because that is what we are learning. Living friction free.

One of my students in the current Playground is separated. He went to pick up the kids from their mother, and all four started to cry, and carry on that they didn"t want to go with daddy, that they hated to be with daddy.

Everyone looking on, including the mother, were mortified. But my student wasn"t... He said: it"s OK if you don"t want to come...

In the end the kids went with him and they had a blast. He did not bat an eye... no upset, no personal hurt. No problem.

This is what is possible.

In the current version of the Playground we meet, as a group, once a month, and the in-between weeks the participants pair up and have their own calls, called partner calls. The calls are recorded. I listen to their calls, every call, and give feedback. They also have the option to have email access to me.

The pairs practice the moving from unreality to reality, and they do exceptionally well: the average vibration rose by 70 points.

The partners that try to talk about it, instead of doing it, where one participant is trying to teach the other, don"t fare well, which proves my point, that you need to do it to learn it. Talking about it doesn"t help.

Half of the pairs do well... Half don"t. 50%. And the course is not even halfway through.

Compare that to the "normal" effectiveness of any whole program or course where the results are 1-2%.

I also add, every monthly session, a new distinction from the invisible reality, so what is reality moves from the simplistic view of the Martian to a rich layered view...

The other day I promised to create a little document to describe what the "finished" state of the transformation will look like.

It is quite simple:

  • 1. You"ll habitually move from something upsetting or disturbing to reality, where nothing is missing, nothing is wrong, there is nothing to fix.

  • 2. You"ll experience a serious reduction in mental treading water, the amount of noise in your head, and the time you spend in different emotions. In fact, the best of you will experience silence...  and won"t suffer from or act from emotions... consciously or unconsciously. ((I have a friend who claims he feels nothing, but his knee jerk reactions, his impulsive actions tell me otherwise. He is literally self-damaging... his own victim.))

  • 3. You"ll be able to become more aware of your surroundings, your inner workings. Become more tolerant and forgiving for your and others" shortcomings. Priceless

  • 4. Your ability to see value that you couldn"t see before makes life a lot happier. Appreciation and gratitude will become available to you. Appreciation literally means: seeing and recognizing value.

  • 5. You"ll experience joy when you least expect it.

  • 6. Your TLB will be growing, you"ll be able to, finally, start getting good at what you haven"t been able to master, because before it felt difficult, unappetizing, or not possible... and you"ll be better at your work, and able to make a lot more money with much less effort.

  • 7. Your relationships will become a lot more harmonious and friction free.

  • 8. You"ll become a lot more organized now that you are not jerked around by desires, and urges, and other nasty emotional b.s.

  • 9. You"ll be able to accept yourself as you really are, and start experiencing self-love... sweet.

  • 10. Finally you"ll be able to complete, come to terms with parental abuse, and see your parents for what they were, people who did what they thought was OK... because they didn"t know any better.

  • 11. You"ll welcome criticism and feedback and be able to tweak your behavior so you get even more out of life.

I"ll add to this list when I get to see more... there is more...

I"d like to start a new Playground sometime in April or May. If you think you are ready: please let me know.

I"ll attempt to schedule the group call time to fit your schedule. I am available almost any time between 6 am and 7 pm... I go to bed at 7 pm.

Each monthly session is 2-4 hours long, depending how it goes... The partner calls are about an hour long, and are at least once a week.

What if it is unlikely that you can become the best version of you? Is it still worth going for it?

Something I just read made me get up from bed and come back to my computer. It is something I have almost forgot... even though it was one of the most important things I have ever learned.

It is: instead of fighting the bad, grow the good.

Of course, some of the principles we live by become invisible... this is one of those.

It"s not my invention. In fact the two wolves the Indian (Native American) tale speaks of, use exactly this principle: feed the good in you.

But the way it was worded in the book I just read was more profound. It says: Let me grow more of the good myself so the bad is less of me.
I didn"t need to kill the iceman (in me). I didn"t even need to fight him. I just needed to make more of myself, so that he would be less of me.

Now, that tale, in memes, has been seen my millions of people. They nodded, but none of them managed to do anything about feeding the good wolf...

Why?

It seems that it is human nature to want to focus on what is wrong, and when I say "focus", I mean "nose to the grindstone" fixated on it to the expense of everything else. ((When you are fixated on the what"s wrong, you are also fixated on fixing it... the result))

More often than not, you need another person who"ll hold the space for you to be good, generous, clean, etc.

This fact, that humans can"t look at what"s right about them, comes out in many ways. One way it has come out, for me, is in the skill-finding workshop.

The skill finding workshop asks you to write seven stories, one a day, about a project you accomplished, and you enjoyed the doing of it, not just the results.

People have success stories where they enjoyed the results, money, fame, etc. but not the process. Many jobs are like this.

But these stories only tell me how you are unhappy, unfulfilled, and wasting your life.

Most high-desire people don"t have any suitable stories to share for us to find the skills they enjoy using.

The skill finder workshop is interested in those skills, and endeavors building a life on using those skills, so your life can be fulfilling AND result-ful...

This example shows that having a result focused approach to life takes your attention off the good in you, and places it on what you want instead... what you don"t have.

Putting your narrow cone of vision on what is wrong makes your life appear, makes you appear as all wrong.

There is a meme, I think famous management coach said: build on your strengths. I found 125 million sites talking about it... but because no one really knows how to do it, it is all Tree of Knowledge, low truth value, low usefulness value.

It is against human nature to notice what is good and right...

In Syracuse, NY, people focus on the long winters, and complain that the weather is always bad. They don"t remember the good, the bad weather is called up from memory. And every time the weather is obviously nice, they seem surprised.

When I first read the famous book: The One Minute Manager, and what it teaches: notice the good job and emphasize it, praise it... and to notice the bad job and reprimand it while praise the person... ugh... I knew that it wasn"t in my nature to do that... and that I was never going to enjoy success through other people... unless I learn it.

So, just now, I re-read, or better said: re-listened the book, and I realized that in the Playground program I have implemented some of the methods the One Minute Manager teaches, without ever remembering the source of the knowledge.

I have had somewhat effective courses, where we met four times a week... It was as close to total immersion as you can get on an online course...

But I was still limited in my view to what people did while in the class, and none of what they did when at home, at work, at wherever. And that is the important part of life, not what I normally can see.

In the Playground I hear them share with a buddy, we call it partner calls, and I hear them tell events in their lives.

So I can give them, almost instant feedback, a one-minute praise or a one-minute reprimand... so they can be "spotted" from left and from right.

Now, here comes the important thing, the thing that connects us to the two wolves:

What the two wolves story doesn"t say, because it is in the invisible dynamics of a human: unless you are willing and able to catch the wolf you don"t want to feed, you won"t be able to feed the other wolf.

What does it mean catching the wolf? It means seeing it clearly. Not just the visible parts, but the why"s... the invisible dynamics. And when you are willing and able to see the wolf, you also need to share it with your partner, so you can publicly be authentic... authentic about your inauthenticity.

If you are unwilling or unable to catch it, you won"t be able or willing to feed the other wolf...

Some soul corrections have a real hard time with this. The soul correction seems to be heavily invested in being viewed as flawless, or good, or nice, or something.

I haven"t been able to cause a breakthrough with everybody... yet.

Interestingly my two brothers belonged to these soul corrections... What is the relevance? Probably nothing.

Why am I sharing this?

Because everyone wants to become the best version of themselves, if it is possible.

It seems that we have found a way. It is not fast. It is not difficult...

It is unusual... it is a different kind of learning. It may take all you"ve got.

But it is definitely worth it.

One of the things the Playground teaches you is totally opposite of what the culture, especially in the US of America tell you: it teaches you to learn the process, get better at the process, instead of having some result that you are hellbent on.

The three difficult soul corrections are exactly the opposite... by the way.

Finding, getting to know the wolf you don"t want to feed is a process.
Inventing and then feeding the wolf you want to feed is a process too.
And being "spotted" along the way by a teacher... is also a process. You could go at it alone, but I tell you: it is hard. I"ve done it mostly alone and it was wicked difficult.

PS: I read a lot. I read mainly fiction.

I have distinguished, after reading about 100 books in the past 3-4 months, that the authors whose vibration was under 200 had heroes and characters who were largely not self-aware... they would not have been able to feed the "good" wolf and starve the bad wolf, unless they had a better part, a wife, a friend, who had a vibration higher than 200.

The inner struggle, the consciousness that you have two "wolves" living inside you, and they struggle, fight for dominance, is reflected only in a few writers" books.

Just thought I would mention... The dude whose hero I quote has a vibration of 210... and the hero, a professional assassin... his vibration is 200. It is not only what you do, but how you do it. This assassin, John Rain is a process guy... not a results guy. He knows that what produces the result is the process.

And in that quote, he invents for himself the process to start to feed, not the assassin, but the person... Brilliant.

PPS: As long as you are attached to the status quo, you won"t be able to change.

Are you the solution or are you the problem?

I am sitting here. In a few hours I have a brainstorming call with a student of mine, who is, who has been, who is proving to be impossible to train... and I am scared and angry.

This article is the process in which I change my context for the call, so I can make a difference... or not... Inside the current context all I can do is yell... Not what I want my life to be. So, here we go...

Useless vs Priceless

Or said in another way: are you the solution or are you the problem?

As a little boy or as a little girl, you made some decisions about yourself, what it is that you were supposed to get, how to get what you want.

Depending on what decision you made, you are now the problem in one way or another.

Your invented way was to solve your problem of not being noticed, not being valued, not being important. But your solution made you other people"s problem.

Your solution came at other people"s expense.

Your particular solution was pretty much consistent with your soul correction... a desire to receive for the self alone solution.

  • You complain, for example, and make other people feel guilty, or impotent because they cannot solve your problem.

  • Or you complain to make yourself seem smarter than everyone else.

  • Or you complain to get some attention.

  • Or you complain so someone takes care of you. Someone or something.

You are a problem. Not a solution.

You talk and need others to listen to you. Talk too much, do too little. You weep. You gossip. You pontificate. You explain. Justify. You don"t do, and especially don"t take care of your own needs.

You are a drama queen... and when I mention it to you, you giggle. It"s a source of glee for you.

The Playground program is a threat to you. Even if you registered for some difficult to explain reason, you don"t do the work.

Why? Because what are you going to do with your time after you become a person who can and will take care of themselves? Who will be all you can be? When you"ll have about 14 hours free... what are you going to do?

Who will you be? How was it for me?

One of the interesting things about this is that you don"t know that you are needy. You don"t know that you not taking care of your needs is a racket that perpetuates the original complaint of not being important, or loved, or whatever you didn"t get as a child.

I didn"t know. I was even self-righteous when I saw people taking care of themselves, and called them selfish.

The turning point for me was about two years ago. I didn"t feel well and I didn"t have food in the house. I complained to my brother, who said: You need to take care of yourself... which hit me in a way that hasn"t happened before.

I heard: it is MY job to take care of myself, to provide myself with what I need to be well.

I don"t think I ever got that before. It should be obvious, but it wasn"t obvious to me. And it may not be obvious to you.

I"d gotten some years before that mother wasn"t coming... meaning no one is going to rescue me, but instead of getting that it is my job, that fact gave me deep sorrow... and no solution. I just wanted to be rescued all the more...

I didn"t see, I could not see, that I was doing my darned best to neglect myself, to perpetuate the original feeling that I wasn"t loved, that I wasn"t getting what I needed.

I still recreate that at least once a month, and I am starting to distinguish the facial expression that goes with it, the shape of the mouth that is like a crescent facing down, and it also has a pout... easier said that described... you probably have your own. And if the donkey in Winnie the Pooh were human, in my drawings he would wear the same facial expression, the same eternal sadness, personally aggrieved by the Universe.

Judging from how many people are waiting for god or Jesus to rescue them, judging from how many people behave as if I could save them... this is universal with just a few little variations of shade... So I trust that you recognize yourself.

The shift from waiting for something or someone outside of you to give it to you to you providing yourself with what you need is a big one, and in my experience is neither permanent nor easy.

But what is most surprising is that each time I slip back to helplessness, to neediness, I need to do the same shift.

It is getting easier, but not easy. It is getting faster, but not fast, and definitely no "instinctive", not at all.

The job is to recognize it, diagnose it, define the solution, and start the shift towards moving the fingers facing my own self: it is MY job.

This is the deepest, most hidden racket every singly human is plagued with, even billionaires.

A deep set fundamental need unfulfilled until you, yourself, find a way to fulfill it for yourself.

Whether it is love, nurturing, significance, validation, tenderness, attention, whatever is the need, you can give it to yourself.

A significant move towards figuring out how to do that, for me, was reading the book by James Altucher: "Choose Yourself"

It was using a dramatic phrase from Seth Godin. Seth Godin said: Pick yourself... but I didn"t know that, for me choosing myself was a different drama... so I pondered it a lot. A whole lot.

And my brother"s words: Take care of yourself came exactly at the same time... and now choosing myself means what my brother said to me... (not how either Seth Godin or James Altucher meant it, to pick myself for a worldly job... or whatever they meant... no) to take care of my needs. All my needs. Emotional, physical, organizational, practical, medical... all my needs, fully and completely. ((By the way, before things can get better, they normally get worse... a lot worse. At least in my life. Before I could enjoy a life of freedom from waiting... I had to get really sick... But I remembered that it is my job to take care of me... and at some point I managed to think straight and look what it is I am not doing for myself. It was a big step from feeling like a victim... and what I found wasn"t even that difficult or complicated. So now I am well, or much better. Went from being able to work 2-3 hours a day to having energy even at the end of a 14 hour workday... without coffee, tea, or any stimulants. I say wow to that! lol. You see, even validating myself, and my results, even acknowledging victories is my job... not someone else"s.))

You need to pick yourself to give yourself what you need. Why? Because you can. And, between you and me, no one else can.

You need loving? Have you noticed that you don"t feel love that others give you, unless you also love them?

If I went to you and hugged you, and whispered in your ears: I love you, would you feel loved? No. How do I know it? Because you cannot.

You can only feel your own feelings, and love doesn"t emanate, love is not an energy, love cannot be given as an experience, unless you give yourself that love.

People need to be heard... they talk and talk and talk... talk your ears off. They talk over you. They pay me to coach them, but they don"t stop talking... And they leave the call a little emptier of tension, but in a few hours they need to talk again.

They didn"t get what they needed. Only they can provide that for themselves.

People beg me for validation... but again and again and again.

Clear that they are not validating themselves... They are not giving themselves what they need.

I have a sneaking suspicion about overly ambitious people: their unfulfilled need fuels their ambition, but isn"t a good tool to fulfill the need... no amount of money or recognition will give you a sense of belonging, but you can give it to yourself, even if you were adopted and your birth parents didn"t want you.

That little boy or that little girl is still there, wanting something that cannot be given by someone, other than yourself.

A racket is an invisible dynamic. Its visible component is an expressed or unexpressed complaint. And the dynamic"s job is to keep it going, to recreate, reproduce, re-generate the original complaint. The original pain.

The real perpetuum mobile... the one that Tesla didn"t invent.

Why is it virtually indestructible? I don"t really know. Maybe because it is now a part of the identity? Maybe because it is the soul"s pain?

Maybe because the whole soul correction is about this: give yourself what you need.

If you are not for you, who is for you?
If not now when?
If you are only for you, who are you?

Maybe the whole soul correction is about these three sentences, performed over and over and over.

One of the things I have given myself is what I see when I look out my window in my office. It is sooo beautiful, and sooo many different ways. And I am moved every time. My soul craves beauty as much as it craves anything else. Seeing beauty every minute of every day, not as an event.

My soul also craves music and dancing.

I have discovered while I was too sick to have fun, that the exercise class was not fun, I was fun when I had fun. I am well now. And I can see that I don"t need the class to have "occasional fun", I can put my headsets on, and have fun dancing, and laughing, enjoying the music and my body"s movements, whenever I want.

And I do.

And I am starting to discover that when I don"t need my customers to rescue me from certain financial ruin, they are a heck of a lot more willing to buy my stuff... lol.

And now I order grocery every week for delivery. And join the shopping group when I want to get out and about. When I give that to myself, not when I need someone to fulfill my needs.

I spoke about the Honorary Jewish Society yesterday.

If you join... My suggestion is that we adopt this "choosing yourself" habit first. If we don"t do anything else, this will make history! Your history and my history.

You"ll learn this. It took me many years, because I had only accidental guidance... but in the Honorary Jewish Society you can have me to guide you every day...

I feel a lot better, a lot clearer now.

In yesterday"s article, I think, I wrote about the incorrigibles... I used another adjective then.

The people who won"t take teaching.

Looking from the angle of "choosing yourself" to take care of yourself, to give yourself what you need, it seems to me that these are the people whose original pain was slight of one sort or another, who feel slighted. (Circuitry), Who felt left alone with no explanation even why they weren"t considered (Silent Partner), who were not chosen in comparison with another (Share the Light), or whose thunder was stolen (Removing Hatred), etc.

I am feeling my compassion awaken. I can see that the more I can succeed in teaching you to give yourself what you have been missing, the better your life can become, the freer you can be to do what can cause you to grow.

If I didn"t mention your soul correction, that doesn"t mean you don"t have a lot of work to do... This is a work in progress...

I may do some workshops for this. For now I am working with my Playground participants to develop some working methods that I can teach.

Seeing what has been running your misery is a very satisfying, maybe even enjoyable experience, but doesn"t cause any different behavior or attitude.

It is a whole different level to recognize this as the core, as the seed level in every complaint you have.

And yet another level is to learning ways to provide yourself with what you need.

And to never expect this pain to disappear... because it won"t. But instead of suffering from it, use it as fuel. You can learn how to do that.

Will you? We shall see...

Playground: it is never too late to have a happy childhood... but how do you change the past?

The full title of the Playground course is: Playground: it"s never too late to have a happy childhood.

Why is that significant? And what the heck does even mean?

The past is the past, and you cannot change it, they say, but if you look in history books, you"ll see that it does... depending on the point of view of the historian... ((Here is a 10% truth value video to explain this phenomenon. Cynthia Sue Larson"s vibration is 200.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mTh1qgk1Jyw
))

In the Playground we re-write your history. Not in a fancy, inventive, "you create your life" kind of way... we actually go back to the root incidents, and look at them through different filters, through learning about different invisible dynamics.

This looking, looking through distinctions, reliable changes the past... and it changes the present moment... because it changes the future... ((What actually happened you can"t change... but before you jump into conclusion: the whole first module of the Playground is to distinguish reality, from all the interpretations, and meanings YOU have added... and although what happened cannot be changed, the interpretations and meanings are in no way part of what happened... and still, they carry 99% of the "what happened" for you... So the secret is distinguishing... Always.))

And what gives your beingness in the present moment is the future you are walking towards. So by changing the past, you whole life, including your future can be changed.

  • One of the integral parts of the Playground programs is the weekly one-on-one partner calls... Without that there would be no results.

  • And the 20 day learning challenge... without that you wouldn"t necessarily see how you are not even willing to learn anything to make your life work, to make your life better.

  • And, of course, it can include email coaching, although it is not mandatory, and the ones that don"t ask for it are normally at a distinct disadvantage.

I listen to every partner call... and give a little or a lot of feedback, depending whether the participants asked for coaching or not.

90% of the work of the program gets done in the partner calls if the participants opted for coaching. Much less if they didn"t.

Why do I write articles that seem to be only for the eight participants of the Playground program?

It"s a good question... and it is a dumb question. What participants deal with can shed light to what a non-participant is dealing with, because my job is to shed light to the invisible. To name what hasn"t been named. To reveal the dynamic.

And even just knowing that there is a dynamic there can save some lives, but more importantly, allow curious people to opt to look deeper, and take back their power from the machine...

That is why I am writing these articles.

The Playground partner calls give away a lot of the "how" in the how you do anything is how you do everything.

I just listened to a partner call, two men, two continents, two different lives, two different soul corrections, two different vibrations.

The conversation reminds me of the book "What do you say AFTER you say hello?" Transactional Analysis book.

Depending on the percentage of the "it is all about me" score in the Starting Point Measurements, you listen to the other person"s example, the other person"s life, for the similarities or the sameness, and have no interest in their differences.

Your vibration is a number. It tells me how much of reality you see. What limits your view are

  • 1. The height from which you look. You see things from a skyscraper, for example a traffic jam, is a whole different view, than being stuck in it on street level... same traffic jam, just viewed from a different vantage point.

  • 2. Your astuteness: your astuteness is a function of how many distinctions you can tell apart. I measure it in your vocabulary, accurate vocabulary, but really, if I wanted to be exacting, what i am really measuring is how many things you can recognize accurately, and tell them apart from similar things.

  • 3. Your about me score. As I have said in another article, the size of that is like a carton cutout, that occupies the center of your field of vision, and you see, if you even look, reality over its edges.

So, every person has those three aspects that influence their "how" and "what"

Another aspect is their soul correction.

Each soul correction has a main linchpin.

Life happens to us all. What we do with what is happening to us is, on the other hand, quite individual.

Most children have early experiences where they find out that life is not fair, that not all of us get the same things, that what works for another doesn"t work for us.

This is where the similarity ends.

What we decide from our experience, our conclusion, our "therefore" will be consistent with our soul correction.

I have a minuscule number for "about me", and I can therefore see fully what is going on for the participants, while when they listen to each other, depending on their vibration number, and especially their about-me score, they will see or misidentify what is going on for the other.

I have to sit on my hand... I want to "tell them" what they didn"t see, what they could change, etc... but it is out of integrity for me... I have committed to provide no coaching that is not paid for... and some people pay, others don"t...
But there is another factor: sometimes helping people to see what they are not ready is akin to cutting the cocoon open to help the not-ready butterfly "applicant" to save them from having to break the cocoon and the pain it implies.

So I don"t....

Even in this article I am trying to not say anything that cuts someone"s cocoon open: what makes a butterfly fly is the effort they needed to break the cocoon open.

Sheer torture for the "emperor"... or in this case, the teacher/coach.

What else can I see from the partner calls?

Life is full of rackets. Every unpleasant feeling is a signal for the underlying iceberg, the invisible parts of the racket.
Payoff is what perpetuates the machine: without some perceived benefit, no one would go through the pain and turmoil of the racket.

Payoff sounds good, right? Like a salary... but in fact it is the biggest criminal in all. It is what corrupts people, makes them sell out, makes them do unimaginably evil things... betray their country, betray their family, betray their best.
When it comes to rackets, the most frequent payoff is never having to show up in life, measure up, produce, really know.

So rackets are really what are the underlying dynamic of procrastination, underachievement, and never amounting to much in life. Not a lack of intelligence, a lack of talent, a lack of opportunity, not even lack of character, but the payoff from the rackets.

Not having to, not having to be the one who causes, instead being the one who is an effect. No one can blame you... but...

But this is where the cost of the payoff, received under the table, undeserved and unearned will attempt to create a choice... and unless you bring full consciousness to the racket, it can"t and it won"t.

Unless you value something more than you value something else... it won"t.

In yesterday"s Playground I measure what is the vibration of the ability to see value... and to my dismay it is 300 vibration. Under 300 vibration you may see individual values, but not value as a distinction. Same for any distinction, by the way. You will see examples of it, but not the distinction as a distinction.

So the goal in the Playground is to hit 300 vibration, where the distinctions, where the values can USE YOUR LIFE, instead of you having to look for them, analyze them, and try to use them.

The Cost: the most expensive cost is affinity, more specifically self-love, self-affinity, and the ability to live from the "higher power" or North Star of "If I am not for me, who is for me?"

The saying, the adage, that when you love yourself you love your life has been true for me, and I have seen instances where it was clearly true for you.

One student, when he could see for a while, that even though he does things he doesn"t like, he is not wrong, he is just doing things he doesn"t like.

And his enthusiasm, and joy was indescribable... he loved himself, suddenly, and thus he loved his life and the people in it.

But when you see yourself selling yourself out for some puny and disreputable payoff... you cannot respect yourself, you cannot love yourself... and thus you cannot love your life.

And the sadness, when people get in touch with that is thick and heartwrenching.

Before you can choose to say no to the payoff... you have to go through that sadness, occasionally shame, or you won"t choose a racket-free life.

Arrgh, that puny payoff is the only thing most people have... not results, not rewarding relationships, not health... no. the payoffs. And that is their life.

It"s a catch 22: in order to learn anything, in order to do anything useful for your life, you need to be saying no to the payoff... at least a little bit of time... or you won"t be allowed to learn anything, do anything for your life.

You see the trap?

Not every soul correction, and not every person with a certain soul correction is caught, fully, in this catch 22 trap... two of the 8 participants in the current Playground are caught in this trap fully, and two are caught somewhat... My heart goes out for them. But the ball is in their court.

Want to become competent in life? Competence is rare... even professionals are not very competent

I watched, mostly listened to the "masterclass" selling Eric Edmeades" Wildfit course.

The truth value of what Eric Edmeades said was 30%. There was nothing in it that was untrue... it just cannot go higher when you have a product for mass consumption, a one size fit all product.

Eric Edmeades" vibration is 200.

As in every masterclass, he was having a conversation with Vishen Lakhiani, who looks fabulous, but is insufferable, for the most part. His vibration is 150.

Eric 200 talks about being well, living the way your species evolved to live, eat according to seasons, and to shun manufactured food with ingredients. He wants you to have energy, clarity, and live longer... while Vishen 150, from the level of his vibration can only see weight loss...

The average vibration of the people who buy or consider buying The Wildfit course is 110...

Contemplating that, I came to a realization: your vibration is too low to even see or even be interested in the purpose of health, the purpose of eating right.

You hear what you are interested in, and that is low vibration concerns... mostly about looking good, or getting better if you are sick.

Which pretty much clues me into the world of the visitors of my site as well.

Because the hardest thing to get, to grok for any human on any level of vibration is that...

...you are causing your own misery, 100 percent of it, 100 percent of the time, and that you are causing your own joy, 100 percent of it, 100 percent of the time.

Both Eric Edmeades and I have a very hard time getting it through to you.

The human mind lies to you.

  • One of the lies is that you are not causing anything.

  • Another is that you can do things a little bit, for a short time, and that will solve the problem.

  • It also tells you that once you know it, you can and will use that knowledge

  • It also tells you that whatever resonates with you must be true

  • It tells you that if you say it, it is true... ie. talking about flying IS flying

And, of course, if you are a garden variety human who lives your whole life in your mind, you"ll believe everything your mind tells you... because even if and when another person speaks, live or in writing, you"ll only hear a filtered version of what they say... you actually never hear more than 10% of what they say, and even that 10% will be only stuff that agrees with the mind"s lies.

Another thing that no one understands, but it can be measured: if and when your vibration drops, and it does drop, until you fully earned it, your comprehension, your ability to hold onto information diminishes by a lot, and your cone of vision narrows.

You truly and whole heartedly believe that your actions have no consequences.

And seemingly they often don"t... not in the visible realm of reality.

You could see it in how you feel, but you can always point to outside influences to explain it away.

You can lie to yourself, but you cannot lie to me: I can measure some crucial measures in a few seconds, and I know exactly what happened.

I love the analogy of Arthur Miller"s: Take One"s Life in One"s Arms
I think it"s a mistake to ever look for hope outside of one"s self. One day the house smells of fresh bread, the next of smoke and blood. One day you faint because the gardener cuts his finger off, within a week you"re climbing over corpses of children bombed in a subway. What hope can there be if that is so?

I tried to die near the end of the war. The same dream returned each night until I dared not to go to sleep and grew quite ill. I dreamed I had a child, and even in the dream I saw it was my life, and it was an idiot, and I ran away. But it always crept onto my lap again, clutched at my clothes. Until I thought, if I could kiss it, whatever in it was my own, perhaps I could sleep. And I bent to its broken face, and it was horrible... but I kissed it. I think one must finally take one"s life in one"s arms.

~Arthur Miller from the play After the Fall

It takes all you got and more to face that broken faced child and kiss it. That child is you and that is your life.

It is not that some people can and others can"t... even the ones who can spend weeks, months, years building up to the courage to first look at that face and then kiss it.

And even after you kissed it... you may stray, deny it... and it may kill you and your life. You have to keep on embracing that broken faced child.

I did this work, embracing my evil inclination, my broken faced child, some 20 years ago, but other than in one area of my life, it didn"t expand to all areas.

While I was quite fulfilled, and joyful in my work life, I was quite miserable in my physical life: pains, extra weight to carry, poor sleep, losing my hair.

I was already doing health consultations with people, except I wasn"t taking my own medicine, or only partially. And partially doesn"t quite do it, does it? You either do a system, or you are wasting your time.

And then I suddenly went whole hog... and experienced wellness. Energy. Glorious.

But whatever it is that doesn"t want you to experience the good life, Kabbalists call it the Opponent, a shapeshifting trickster, Christians, I think, call it Satan, and in transformational parlor, it is the invisible dynamic of complaints... I gradually got sick, and sicker, and even sicker.

I started to have to spend most of my days in bed... And then fell of my diet that served me so well... and started to add foods that are on the no-no list...

I am sharing this so you can see yourself in my example... if you look, you can see yourself and your attitude, your own behavior.

Listening to Eric Edmeades yesterday came at a nick of time... to save the day.

I don"t have to do his course: my food and supplement list, individually muscle tested for me, is all I need to get well again. In fact I only need to change a few minor things, seemingly inconsequential, but I am sure they are the culprits that I got so deadly weak in the past few months.

The world, other people, the food advertising, the availability, the manufactured tastes are at work 24/7 to take you off the path. Maybe even financial considerations: eating chicken, bread, pasta and chips is cheaper than eating food that supports your mental and physical abilities.

How you do anything is how you do everything. And if you are not keeping to the diet that has proven itself to get you well, you are also not doing the work in other areas of life, including owning what owns you.

Your life is owned and directed by invisible dynamics that unless you recognize them and bring your life under your own control, will make your life spin out of control, leaving you a wreck.

But the mind and the Opponent don"t want you to take control.

The work of any human, in their lifetime, is to wrestle control from the Opponent.

It is not to save the world, the Amazon rain forests, the little babies of Rhodesia, or the whales that are slaughtered to extinction.

No. the work is to do every day of every year is to wrestle back the control of your life from the Opponent, the inner enemy.

It is not the government, it is not the wars, it is not the police, it is not your husband, your daughter, your son who is the cause of your misery. And not even your health...

It is you relating to them from the mind, from meaning, from powerlessness.

There are a lot of words that express that powerlessness, and you need to be able to recognize them, so you can derive them back to the source of the bad behavior or the bad feeling.

You are never really powerless. You may not have power over what is happening. You may not have power over another human or their behavior.

But you always have access to your power to your own interpretation, your attention, your attitude and your behavior.

Powerless means "no power" and it is always a lie.

Your desire to receive for the self alone has your attention glued to areas where you don"t have power... over others.

But you can redirect your attention to where you have power, and stop lying... and stop suffering.

A complaint is a sign of suffering. And you are always complaining.

And every complaint, uttered or not, is a sign that you want power over circumstances, others, not over yourself, not over the Opponent.

Complaint can be your best friend, your soul mate, that reminds you to redirect your attention to where it can cause something... power?

This is what I teach, this is what we are meant to practice in the Playground.

A new Playground group, maybe even two, are set to start within a few weeks.

Learning from each previous Playground, each new Playground becomes more effective, and this time is not any different.

What are the biggest difficulties people experience in the Playground?

Just like in Eric Edmeades" Wildfit and my health consulting, the biggest issue is that people expect the program to do the work... and no program does the work: YOU have to do the work.

It is not time consuming, you can just replace your spinning your wheels time much of your time is spent with, with actually studying what there is to study, PRACTICING what there is to practice.

  • Understanding is the boobie prize... not enough. By itself it is worth nothing.

  • Musing, philosophizing, talking about what there is to do is not the work:

  • most of the work is catching, redirecting the attention, and releasing the Opponent"s grasp on your view.

Understanding doesn"t help.

Let"s look at understanding with regards to swimming: you understand what keeps you afloat is your hand and leg movements.

So you jump into the water and wait for the hand and leg movements to kick in, but they don"t... you actually need to DO it.

So you sink... you may or may not get rescued. But you blame it on the course.

I remember when I was little, about 3-4 years old, hanging over the water in a sling, on my belly, practicing the breast strokes, until they were automatic.

Then I was lowered into the water, with the sling (much like a huge fishing pole, lol), to now practice the movement in water.

I wasn"t allowed to get into the water, until the movements became unconsciously competent... ((
the ability to do something successfully or efficiently.

"the players displayed varying degrees of competence"

synonyms:capability, ability, competency, capacity, proficiency, accomplishment, adeptness, adroitness, knowledge, expertise, expertness, skill, skillfulness, prowess, mastery, resources, faculties, facilities, talent, bent, aptitude, artistry, virtuosity; More

)) the highest state of learning.

You start out with unconscious incompetence in the course. You don"t know anything from anything else.

You consider your emotions reality almost 100% of the time, and you don"t even know the names of the emotions... Drama, drama, drama

Everything is the same as everything else. People are nasty, want to take advantage of you, unhelpful, only interested in what they are interested in. Your entire attention is on what THEY are doing to you, to your hopes and aspirations.

Or you plan something and then do something different... and you blame yourself... but there is no distinction. You may ask "why did I do that?!" but there is no answer that frees you up to actually do what you planned to do.

Unconsciously incompetent.

Then you learn about some distinctions, some new ways to see what is happening under the cover...

Now, maybe, you are consciously incompetent... a big step in the right direction. You know you have no idea what you could do to feel powerful again.

You are still a victim, an effect, but now you know it. And you know that your lack of working knowledge of the human condition is what is causing it.

Next step: I twist your arm, I yell at you, and you finally get off your a** and learn one of those invisible dynamics, the one with the complaints. It"s the easiest... especially because you are a complaining machine, have always been.

You blame... aha... there is a complaint... Complaint catching activated. It still takes some work, some pondering, some conversations to see how the invisible dynamic trapped you, but you get out of the trap... and for now all is well.

Conscious competence is your level now.

You do this by yourself or with your Playground partner on the calls, and eventually you find yourself unconsciously competent... like the swimmer... you don"t have to think how to move your arms and your legs, they are moving on their own accord.

You have almost never done this before, at least not consciously.

You learned a mighty few things to the level of unconscious competence, but almost never consciously.

You remember forever knowing how to do those things, but if you are truly competent ((only very few people are competent in anything, by the way. In anything, including their profession! They have an air of competence, but it is a pretense. My broken wrist being set misaligned is a good example... It will hurt till I die... because it wasn"t true competence... One or two steps were missing. One of them I can guess: they never looked twice... never checked if the direction they are going is accurate.

This is why competence, real competence is rare: overconfidence. 99% of accidents are caused by overconfidence. 99% of accounting errors are cause by overconfidence. Your diet mistakes are caused by overconfidence... Medical mistakes... over diagnosing cancer by double... Killing people by the cure of a misdiagnosed disease.)) it was always a process to become competent... if you ever became competent. In anything.

Anyway, this is the process we do in the Playground: getting you from an unconsciously incompetent human to a consciously competent human...

...who doesn"t suffer, because you can find your own power... and because the principle: there is never anything wrong in reality is now something you can say, and it is true when you say it, because that is your life experience.

This is a long article. If you are just scanning it, you probably missed 97% of it...

How you do anything is how you do everything.

With this attitude you are going to have a hard time in the Playground training...

I am just saying...

OK, Playground: You can find out more about the program here: https://www.yourvibration.com/playground

or if you are decided, sign up to the first part of the program here. You"ll get a chance to continue once you completed the first part
