What is the secret to joy? To a joy-full life?

How much joy do you have in your life?

I learned to ask this question from Dr. Popper... whose videos are my 20-day learning challenge.

Each video is about an hour long, I listen at 1.5x speed, because time is money. This speed still allows me to ponder and listen at the same time.

I am a fast listener: I don"t go to my mind to compare, to negate, to argue. I listen and ponder.

I turn what I hear into gold. This is one of my principles in life: to put all power in all actions... to turn everything I do into gold. Or into Life... which is the same. Praiseworthy. Excellent. Valuable.

Here is what Tai Lopez says about this
"What is the one secret to being rich?" Someone asked me that the other day, and I get asked those type of questions every now and then I didn"t really know the best answer at the time, but a few things just happened to me the other day, and I was like, "I got the freaking answer for you." I"m going to give you the damn answer right here. You know what it is?

Now, you got to promise me if I tell you this that you"ll pay attention because I don"t want to throw this out there and people use it incorrectly.

It"s a powerful tool, and here it is.

Everything you do should turn to gold.

You might be like, "That"s obvious." No, no. This isn"t obvious, what I"m about to say. Anything you ever touch whether you are working at Taco Bell or if you"re working at McDonald"s, should turn to gold.

Here’s an example of what I mean...

There was a Lyft driver who picked up one of my friends who was coming over. I sent them a Lyft driver to pick them up. This Lyft driver could not find my house even though I live on one of the main streets that are in Beverly Hills. Couldn"t get here even with all the technology in the world. There"s the GPS that they come with their company. There"s Google Maps. There"s Waze.

They couldn"t find it. Ended up in a back alley, and I was thinking, "You know what? There are three kind of Uber drivers or Lyft drivers. Ones who live up to your expectations. Ones who underperform like this person just couldn"t find us, and then there"s the third and the most rare, and that"s the driver who you go, ‘Damn, that was way better than I thought.’”

If people start saying that about you, mark my words, you will be rich, and I"m not just talking about money. I"m talking about it in life. Everything you want will begin to come to you. That"s a bold statement. My lawyers don"t like me saying statements like this because people might take it the wrong way, but I"m telling you.

I learned this from Wallace D. Wattles, from his The Science of Getting Rich. ((
You cannot foresee the results of even the most trivial act; you do not know the workings of all the forces that have been set moving in your behalf. Much may be depending on your doing some simple act; it may be the very thing which is to open the door of opportunity to very great possibilities. You can never know all the combinations which Supreme Intelligence is making for you in the world of things and of things and of human affairs; your neglect or failure to do some small thing may cause a long delay in getting what you want.

Do, every day, ALL that can be done that day.

There is, however, a limitation or qualification of the above that you must take into account.

You are not to overwork, nor to rush blindly into your business in the effort to do the greatest possible number of things in the shortest possible time.

You are not to try to do tomorrow"s work today, nor to do a week"s work in a day.

It is really not the number of things you do, but the EFFICIENCY of each separate action that counts.

Every act is, in itself, either a success or a failure.

Every act is, in itself, either effective or inefficient.

Every inefficient act is a failure, and if you spend your life in doing inefficient acts, your whole life will be a failure.

The more things you do, the worse for you, if all your acts are inefficient ones.

On the other hand, every efficient act is a success in itself, and if every act of your life is an efficient one, your whole life MUST be a success.

The cause of failure is doing too many things in an inefficient manner, and not doing enough things in an efficient manner.

You will see that it is a self-evident proposition that if you do not do any inefficient acts, and if you do a sufficient number of efficient acts, you will become rich. If, now, it is possible for you to make each act an efficient one, you see again that the getting of riches is reduced to an exact science, like mathematics.

The matter turns, then, on the questions whether you can make each separate act a success in itself. And this you can certainly do.

You can make each act a success, because ALL Power is working with you; and ALL Power cannot fail.

Power is at your service; and to make each act efficient you have only to put power into it.

Every action is either strong or weak; and when every one is strong, you are acting in the Certain Way which will make you rich.

Every act can be made strong and efficient by holding your vision while you are doing it, and putting the whole power of your FAITH and PURPOSE into it.

It is at this point that the people fail who separate mental power from personal action. They use the power of mind in one place and at one time, and they act in another pace and at another time. So their acts are not successful in themselves; too many of them are inefficient. But if ALL Power goes into every act, no matter how commonplace, every act will be a success in itself; and as in the nature of things every success opens the way to other successes, your progress toward what you want, and the progress of what you want toward you, will become increasingly rapid.

Remember that successful action is cumulative in its results. Since the desire for more life is inherent in all things, when a man begins to move toward larger life more things attach themselves to him, and the influence of his desire is multiplied.

Do, every day, all that you can do that day, and do each act in an efficient manner.))

Interestingly, that book is as much about living life with joy, living a life that is worth living, as about money.

So when Dr. Popper asked: how much joy you have in my life... and I went about my days as usual, but added that question, so I can note how many occasions I have for joy, I was not very surprised to find that I have many. All caused by some excellence: my own, or someone else"s... like a turn of phrase in a book, or student turning a page... even if the page occasionally turns back, they are all occasions for joy for me.

Then things happen... like serious snow fall on the night between March and April, and me waking up to freezing cold... the world dressed in all white... when this happens, like last night, it takes changing my mind about what should be, and turn it into joy on what is: beauty, unpaid for, unbidden, and beautiful.

Yeah, you can do all kinds of things with the intention to turning them into gold... And mind stuff is the easiest. Just switch from what it should be to what is... It is not very difficult... albeit you may not know what is...

What is is what is real. The rest is unreality. Like your interpretation. Like the meaning you give to what is... especially the "it shouldn"t be".

It is what it is... says the mature person, and life is nice to him. Que sera sear... and life is even nicer to him.

When you have that, you reclaim the present from the "what should be" and reclaim it from "where it should go, the results you want", and you can pay attention to what the heck you are doing, so you can create gold, every minute.

While reading, while studying, while shopping, while even sleeping... Doing it fully, with all power in all action.

Of all the capacities, this was the only one I could never make my students to understand: it is so alien to the high desire person... I wonder if you can get it... Can you?

Please let me know in the comments section. It"s OK to leave comments anonymously. Just put in the name field: anonymous. Lol.

The capacity that needs to be activated is the Detached Capacity, the ability to separate yourself and your actions from your opinions, from others" opinions, from what should be, what shouldn"t be, from deadlines, from your desires, from hurry.

I teach this in the Detached Workshop. It includes me activating the capacity... and you keeping it on... over time

The anatomy of missing the mark

Have you been wondering why public services and big companies employ semi-morons for customer service?

I am, I think, supposed to mention this, given how many times it has happened in the past week.

Not every customer service person acts stupid, only most of them.

So what is their stupidity about? They only hear what they know. The filter of their mind screens out everything that is not the three-four basic issues: refund request, payment plan request, return request... you know the kind most people will have.

For every issue outside of the ones that the solution is standardized, the customer rep can"t hear...

The mind did not allow the person to interact with reality, only with what"s in the mind.

Yet another lie that renders you ineffective and stunt your growth...

Yet another lie that renders you ineffective and stunt ((stunt1

Our minds are filled with truisms, memes, quotes, that are actually lies.

The lies are carefully designed. Designed by Dark, Evil People... who benefit from you being sheep.

If you believe them, you"ll do their bidding... you"ll make them money, you"ll put them in power.

There are a lot of lies, but in this article I am only concerned with the lies that prevent you from growing, evolving, and thus make you miserable.

This article will specifically show the lies that stunt your growth as a human...

NEW: Joy of life, Joy of Being Alive versus Should

http://www.yourvibration.com/wp-content/uploads/blue-joy-300x339.jpg

blue-joy

I woke up with a wispy joy this morning. I loved how my bed felt, how my body felt, how the light fell in the room. It was an inside job. None of those outer stuff was any different from any other morning. I was different. I had that rare quality of enjoyment, of joy, of the joy of being alive.

blue-eyed-grassIt is so rare because it, just like the tiny blue flowers at the root of your grass, are hidden by the tall grass. They are tiny, they are insignificant, and our eyes look for the big, the flashy, the showy, and can"t even see the beauty of the tiny blue flowers.

It is rare, because most of us, very early in life, have overpowered with a demand of how life should be.

The man downstairs where I live, has two sons from a marriage, that come to stay with him 4-5 times a year. Two boys, one around 5, the other around 7.

The five year old still has joy. Joy of life. Joy for no reason. Joy because it"s there. His laugh is like the laughter of a mountain brook, bubbling. His brother laughs, but he always has a reason to laugh, mostly at his little brother"s expense. There is no joy in his laugh, there is glee. Glee has a reason, an evil reason. Glee cost another something. It"s pure desire for the self alone.
