The secret of happy producers... NOT what time they get up in the morning, or how many books they read...

My students, like popcorn, are starting to pop at the same time. It is hard to say what made each pop... especially if your vocabulary (distinction) is not keeping up with the richness of the invisible reality.

What do I mean?

I have been intrigued with the idea of helping people to be intrinsically motivated, ever since I read and re-read Deci"s book: Why we do what we do.

Without words one can be the best at something, but will never be able to teach it...

Without words one can achieve something, like a level of vibration, a level of growth, but if the process wasn"t distinguished, it will probably disappear without a chance of ever coming back.

I have one talent that I am proud of, that makes me a maven of sorts, and that is distinguishing. And obviously that means that I am somewhere in the middle of the art... not at the bottom, not at the top, so I can do more and more of what I like, what I am good at, and never run out of fun.

Distinguishing starts with noticing a missing. Noticing that there is a jump... a discontinuity where there should be none of that. In reality there are distinct points, like where the water turns into ice, or where the water turns into vapor (gas), but even those are not as jumpy...

Now, noticing a missing is the starting point. And the willingness to dig for it, without knowing what it is you are looking for... The faith that you"ll know when you see it.

In some way it is wordless... like the color in the color exercise... except you only know where it"s missing, you only know what gap it will, hopefully, fill in.

The "Why we do what we do" isn"t a good book, but it was a start. I needed to get the missing distinctions, because most of my students were extrinsically motivated, and were, therefore, seriously under-achieving in life, not mentioning the fact that they were not fulfilled by their activities, or even their results.

Something was missing, and by god I"ll find it for them, so they can be happy, joyful, self-loving like me.

One of my tools, the Juice Exercise, had great promise... but it only shows what activity has the greatest promise, but unfortunately it doesn"t produce the result, fulfillment, without some thing or some things... but what?

So I was on a quest to find what those things are... and it seems that we have found some stuff... potent stuff.

The hunt began with the Deci book, had a huge turning point with the video where the dude supposedly learned to play the ukulele in 20 days, and performed 20 or so songs with the four chords he learned in a TED talk. Impressive, seductive, and it gave me an idea:

I created a 20-day skill learning challenge...

...and started to research a way to teach learning... My students were all weak at that... And it lead me to the Learning how to learn Coursera course.

That course had distinctions I had no idea about... focused mode, diffuse mode, process mode, project mode... wowzie...

These were all obvious to me, and what is obvious in unconscious competence cannot be taught... it is unconscious. I never had to learn it... But my students did.

So I referred my students to that course. In fact, I made it mandatory for my students in the Playground to do that course... and to participate in the Learning challenge.

Some did, others didn"t... I haven"t had the energy to follow up, to MAKE THEM want to do it.

The results are extraordinarily telling. The ones that did what I asked for: they are moving up both on the vibrational scale and on the ability to see the distinctions of the Playground course...

Depending on the dedication they put to the coursera course and the skill learning... more energy on the skill learning... better results in life and in the Playground.

What the heck is the reason? what is correlation here and what is causation? ((Here is another question that I am now thinking to ask: What measure in my Starting Point Measurement shows clearest that someone is going to pop, will be willing to pop? After writing this whole article, and pondering a few more hours even before i push the "publish" button, I have come to the conclusion that it is the "inspirable/inspired" measure.

When you are not inspirable, your whole life is about you, and nothing else. Your "about-me" score is sky high, and you are limping through life. Other common characteristics: you have a tendency to try to prove your superiority, which exists only in your imagination.

You also, probably, have a sky high desire number. Inspiration is the last thing on your mind.))

This is where scientists and economists are very shaky... wobbly... and more often than not mistaken... around correlation or causation.

So more data is needed... but "when you are committed, providence moves too... ((Full quote:
“Until one is committed, there is hesitancy, the chance to draw back, always ineffectiveness. Concerning all acts of initiative (and creation), there is one elementary truth, the ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans: that the moment one definitely commits oneself, then Providence moves too. All sorts of things occur to help one that would never otherwise have occurred. A whole stream of events issues from the decision, raising in one"s favour all manner of unforeseen incidents and meetings and material assistance, which no man could have dreamt would have come his way. I have learned a deep respect for one of Goethe"s couplets:

Whatever you can do, or dream you can, begin it.
Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it!”~ William Hutchison Murray)) so one of the students had an opportunity to "play" with adults... to sing with a group of professional musicians, with no stakes... for fun. And play with his voice, take risks, and enjoy the process. And the result was a shift, like water turning into vapor. A 100 point jump in vibration, and a sudden "finding one"s self" experience: "I am good for something... I am not totally worthless" experience.

Now, I hadn"t known that this "I am worthless" experience is there... he had never articulated it. But, as I learned from him, who went through this experience with his eyes open, when you are in project mode, i.e. getting something done is the goal, instead of doing it, you always feel, 99% of the time, that you are worthless, that you are not there, that you are not enough... because the only moment that counts, in project mode, is the finished mode and the prize that comes with it.

Wretched...

Imagine reading a novel in that mode... Children who, on a road trip ask every minute, Are we there yet? are in project mode. I never asked it, I still don"t.

I consider every minute of every day my life... in project mode you consider your life only the peak experiences... the rest: not your life, you are on the way to get to your life. Get to wherever you should be getting, and everything else shows up as a "not there yet" and an obstacle, the Valley of the Shadow of Death.

Looking at the learning challenges people took on, the more process oriented the project was, and the more they were willing to surrender to the process, the higher their vibration grew.

These projects didn"t work in a vacuum... all these students were in partner calls: their results depended, a lot, on the partner"s attitude regarding their project and how willing they were share it, how much they made it part of their lives.

OK, if by now you are lost... let me summarize what we have seen so far:

Switching from project mode to process mode, i.e. put all power in all action, right now, without a concern to the end result, is a huge part of, if not all of the secret of going from extrinsic motivation to intrinsic motivation... the kind of life where you can be joyful, engaged, and fulfilled. The results come on their own accord, you can take your eyes off the prize, breathe, relax, and do what you do... Did you start feeling that pain in your shoulders? That was the tension project mode creates. Blocking creativity, blocking your access to the divine, blocking Life.

Students that haven"t distinguished their mode, project or process, haven"t been able to change their vibration, their results, their life experience, even if they are in the Playground, and seemingly do the assignments.

The other distinction that can be found with the students that turned the corner is also from the Learning the learn course: focused or diffuse brain state...

Now, I am not going to argue with their terminology... I am going to, instead, add what my empath sees: the difference between those two is in fact in the eyes... wide cone of vision or narrow cone of vision. Including or excluding.

You cannot be present if and when you have a narrow cone of vision. If you tried right now focusing narrowly on what you are reading, including the letters... you"ll be, as long as your cone of vision is narrow, taken out of the present moment... and if you wanted, for example, check if your cone of vision is narrow or not, you would have to take your focus off the reading...

While, if you manage to read with a wide cone of vision, you are not "stolen away" from the present moment: you can see the weather, you can feel your feelings, you can maybe even ponder, somewhat, what you are reading... without having to move your focus.

Most people resist being taken out of life... it is a natural resistance: if you are not present, you can get killed... not mentioning the fact that most of the things we do, are boring if you do them with a narrow cone of vision... while the few that aren"t boring are highly addictive, like computer games.

If anything shows up for you, in your experience, as boring, think widening your cone of vision... It is a mechanical movement. The wider your cone of vision the more diffuse brain state you are in: the only brain state where you can connect the dots, see previously undiscovered connections, answers pop up, it is joyful.

It is much like the difference between driving on the highways, fixated on the road, while all kinds of beautiful, interesting things are happening around the road. I remember when I first discovered the trees and the sky back in 1987... They were always there, but I never saw them. I was fixated narrowly on whatever... often on my own misery, or what I didn"t have, what was wrong with me or the world...

One of the ways interrogators know that the subject is making up stories, lying, is they look to the left (if I remember it correctly) and look right when they want to remember facts. But if they had a wide cone of vision, they would be able to hide the source of the answer... Not that you will be interrogated any time soon... I hope.

So this is where we are right now.

One more thing, what triggered this article, is the word "autonomy"... which most people don"t know exactly what it really is, and I was one of those people, just a few hours ago. ((autonomy:
1. the right or condition of self-government.
freedom from external control or influence; independence.
synonyms: self-government, independence, self-rule, home rule, sovereignty, self-determination, freedom, autarchy; More
self-sufficiency, individualism

2. (in Kantian moral philosophy) the capacity of an agent to act in accordance with objective morality rather than under the influence of desires.))

But while I am writing this article, making breakfast, doing other things as well... I realized that when it is greed, have-to, ego-need is directing you, you do not experience autonomy: you are not your own master... something outside of the Self is telling you what to do by setting out a path you can"t see, you don"t trust... and yet.

I have had clients fail for this very reason. Their actions didn"t come from the inside... they either obeyed me, or they obeyed their greed/ego needs... and at some point they had to quit.

Was it my fault? Muscle test says no... I have a hunch that that is only partially so. There must be some way to calm down the raging ego, so the gentle tug of the Self can be felt...

I don"t know how to do that yet. Certain soul corrections, certain ethnicities have more forceful egos than others. The more an ethnicity considers THEMSELVES as inferior, the stronger the ego pulls. It"s not personal... I know, it is confusing.

Did anybody say life is going to be simple?

PS: I just unwittingly tested this autonomy issue: I am sitting at my computer doing whatever I am doing. And then I want to get a glass of water... but I am tethered to the electrical stuff I am using to heal myself (vitafon)... I instantly experience thwarted intention... I am not free to do what I want to do... my autonomy has been attacked.

It takes me thinking this through to calm myself down, and not go towards "my life isn"t working" direction... lol. It takes next to nothing to go that way. But this time I am aware, I am conscious, and I am watching. So as soon as I finish this paragraph, I"ll disconnect the darn Vitafon, promise my self to get back to it, and will go get some water, or whatever will give me back to an experience of autonomy.

Autonomy is very important... Respect it, honor it, like a treasure. Oh... and grant it to others... be the one in a million.

It"s not natural for a human to live well under the thumb, under the domination of another, but some soul correction can"t live there at all... If that is you, start moving yourself out from that predicament.

The suppressed ambition... awakening your inner motive power

Although I use this iconic picture from the French protest... this is not a political article... Something, deep inside the French was activated by the new tax on fuel... and moved them to action...

In this article I want to talk about how to awaken that inner, deeply buried energy that could set you free. The caged desire. A suppressed desire.

Rob Brezsny, and many of his similar positive thinking contemporaries, cannot see, will not see, unwilling to see that not everyone is capable to do, see, understand, use everything.

This is my biggest beef with Landmark Education, or any other marketing organization or person: they lie. They pretend that you can do it, you can see it, you can understand it, you can use it.

So today, reading my horoscope for the week, I saw how I benefit from those famous horoscopes of Rob Brezsny, and how, for most people, they are just funny, or whimsical, but definitely not useful, or not always.

here is the horoscope I got today:
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22): You know the expiration dates that appear on the labels of the prescription drugs you buy? They don"t mean that the drugs lose their potency after that date. In fact, most drugs are still quite effective for at least another ten years. Let"s use this fact as a metaphor for a certain resource or influence in your life that you fear is used up or defunct. I"m guessing it still has a lot to offer you, although you will have to shift your thinking in order to make its reserves fully available.

OK, what did I do after I read this horoscope?

I immediately created a context: allow it take my view to a place where I normally dare not look... lol.

Where I"d rather be blind than see... where I am blinded by what I already think I know, some fear, some anxiety, some "monster" I don"t know how to deal with.

Does this context work with every horoscope by Rob Brezsny? I think so.

Anything that makes you look where you are afraid to look can make a huge difference, and Rob Brezsny"s mission is to make you look.

What is good about looking?

The size of the box you live in, the size of the life you live depends on how far and how wide you are willing to look.

The more things limit where you would look, the smaller your life.

So when you face, head-on, the areas or issues you are normally not willing to look at, you potentially remove the self-imposed limitations you put on yourself, and you can enlarge your life.

A small life is like a small prison cell... very limited. Not fun at all.

Actually, this is probably the first time I am really addressing this topic, thank god for triggers like this horoscope.

So where did I look, you ask?

I did what I am asking you to do: I looked at where I am scared... my life expectancy.

I am 71 years old, and even though my overall health is good, I have aches and pains, and I am somewhat limited in what I can do without driving.

So I have been ambivalent about this life expectancy/quality of life issue... afraid and powerless.

The horoscope, potentially, suggests that just like the expiration date, is like my life expectancy: I can live and be able to work a lot longer than my fears suggests...

And whether this is true or not, my life can feel bigger, my actions can become less restricted if I take it one day at a time, and focus on the difference I can make, the difference only I can make.

Some of my students deal with essentially similar self-limiting views... spending their whole life in preparing for threats, dealing with unfounded fears... all living in a small box... all their own making.

Now, what"s wrong with a small box? It"s comfortable...

But given the inner nature of a human, given The Original Design hardcoded in the DNA, humans are engineered by nature to live big. To see wide and deep. To make connections, To be the marvel of the Universe.

With your small life you are not much different from a chimp in a cage... Or, as a matter of fact, any domestic animal in its enclosure...

The soul, the spirit in you is weeping. And making you miserable.

The pain, the yearning, the longing, maybe even the fear you feel is from the soul... it wants you to live like a human... and start your growth towards human being.

The difference between an animal and a human is in their design... human design is for a bigger life... animals, on the other hand are designed for the life they live.

You are cheating yourself and Life out of its due...

Now, let"s talk a little bit what could dislodge you from this caged living, shall we?

I could say that returning you to high school circumstances could make a difference if your level of ambition, if your willingness to work for a future that cannot yet be seen, were higher.

But your ambition is where your ambition is... and your willingness is where your willingness is.

In my experience, the single most important step that made a difference for the people who went beyond the cage-living, who were willing to go back and fill the gaps in their knowledge, was the Juice Exercise.

The Juice Exercise is an innocent sounding conversation between a person and another, in our case you and me.

I ask questions and you look for the answer.

My job is to listen keenly... listen more with my feeling your feelings than my ears.

You may say you like something, but if there is no pain there, it is a trick you play on yourself and me.

I am looking for the pain... Pain and pleasure are the same feeling, creative tension and release... it is nature"s way to make you move. So that is what I am listening for.

When the conversation goes as it should, you get in touch with the most fundamental inner calling, your most fundamental desire that says who you are.

For me it is penetrating the invisible. Frightening and exciting at the same time. Without that I have mighty little to live for.

If I had to describe it differently, I would say that the desire is the same as sexual desire as far as the inner dynamic goes.

I am not quite surprised: the desire to multiply and the desire to live fully must come from the same source: The Life Force.

The purpose of the Juice Exercise call is to re-engage that desire that you have probably given up on fulfilling. Or if you are a woman, you may think that having given birth fulfilled that desire, but you will be mistaken.

It cannot, will not be fulfilled, not even having ten children, or adopting a billion kids...

It"s about conquering... consuming... overpowering... very sexual. A fire that cannot be extinguished.

When people are asked on their death bed, not following that desire is their biggest regret.

OK, and what is my offer... you knew it was coming... Right?

I am going to do as many Juice Calls as I can without destroying my health, in the coming month or two.

It can go as long as two hours... So my usual fee of $250 is a bargain.

But I am going to give you a break and take of $100... until further notice...

You will need to get your Starting Point Measurements... And I"ll throw that in: it is for my orientation...

use coupon code: AMBITION to get $100 off.

In the call we"ll ferret out what and which way your soul wants you to go to fulfill the unscratchable itch, start fulfilling the suppressed desire, so you suddenly have a reason to leave the safe confines of your cage... and start exploring the world that you were meant to conquer.

We"ll brainstorm about ways you can do that... and if I can, I"ll start you off with a spiritual practice that if you do daily, you"ll slowly strengthen the atrophied inner desire muscles to move you into effective action.

If you don"t think you can, if you don"t think you are willing to do a spiritual practice, please don"t waste my time coming... This is not a magic bullet.

Knowing about is NOT power. The difference between knowing about and knowing is the practice.

In the Bible (the original) knowing is used for the consummation of the relationship: sexual relations. Before that people only know about each other...

Knowing is a deep penetration... the consummation. Then you know.

If you want to just know about... your curiosity has already killed you! You can only die once.

Should you become a client? Would I even accept you as a client?

For decades one of my sore spots was that people refused to serve me, even though I paid them.

I remember saying to myself: my money is not good enough for you? and wept.

I had no idea how I "accomplished" that... in 20/20 hindsight it is still a little spotty.

What wasn"t clear to me, never even occurred to me, how my attitude effected the service provider. My "To what degree you think of yourself:" starting point measure was, at the time, 70%. From my behavior I would have guessed it was higher.

Mainly I overrode what they said. I argued, I knew better, I acted with contempt...

What I didn"t know then is that being a service provider needs to be a win, or no service.

A customer who is not happy is a drag on an provider, and not worth the little (or even a lot of) money they pay.

I was that kind of customer...

By 1987 I started to see more of the invisible dynamic that was running my life, that kept me an angry victim, that made me feel entitled, etc.

With that my vibration rose, even without getting fully conscious and aware of how I used to be, my attitude changed, and life got better for me. Because no man is an island, and I did need help.

One of the most important criteria, it seems, is whether the provider is allowed to make a difference or not.

One of my measurements in the Starting Point Measurements [note]1. your vibration (1-1000):
2. your overall intelligence, emotional, intellectual, spiritual, body, relationship, etc.:
3. the number of spiritual capacities you have:
4. your soul correction (your machine): https://www.yourvibration.com/sc
5. do you have attachments?
6. the level of your health (1-100):
7. the level of your cell hydration (1-100):
8. your relationship to feedback and instruction:
9. The level of discomfort you are willing to allow w/o trying to fix it. This is your TLB score...
10. The size of your vocabulary: the number of words you can use accurately:
11. To what degree you think of yourself:
12. # of fixed mindset:
13. Ambition:
14. Desire:
15. Degree of inauthenticity overall:
16. Level of integrity 1-100:
17. how enslaved are you to memes? (what percentage of your life is run by memes?)
18. do you have a bridge between your precious "I" and your actual I? your level of delusion
19. Recommendations:

[/note] is your response, your attitude regarding feedback and instruction. I used to answer that with the category from a book I read: "smart, foolish, evil" but I abandoned that categorization: I didn"t like what I was getting.

I became more interested in what someone does when they don"t like the instruction or the feedback. A lot of people, after the initial emotional state, come back and do what they are asked to do...

If I can tell them: read this book and without justification, without explanation, they go and read it. They may feel reluctant, resistant, angry, but because I asked them they say: OK and do it.

In 1987, green and still with a huge attitude, I signed up a year long training program: Team, Management, Leadership. Why? I didn"t have any reason, I just liked to get trained.

Four of the five weekends of the of the course were in California. I remember sitting at the airports by myself: I was a lone ranger... unaware that my loneliness was a result of my own attitude... [note]That became conscious for me only some 20 years later, when I created a collage to deal with this seeming reality: I am alone. I wrote about it, I think, in another post. The top picture. (the bear on one side, on the top of a tree, and the multitude of penguins, and people, on the other side) is the collage that allowed me to see. And for the first time I managed to take responsibility for my reality. I am alone by choice. Duh.[/note]

One of the assignments from the program was to read the Science Fiction by Colin Wilson: The Mind Parasite.

I bought the book, it was maybe five bucks. And it took me a whole year to read it. I could get through 2-3 pages, and that was that. It was the hardest book I had read thus far. 10-15 new words on every page... It took me 20-30 minutes to get through 2-3 pages. But at some point efforting was replaced by genuine wonder. It was still work, but now it was discovery.

I found out that not many of the people in the program read it. But it counted for 4-5 years of instruction: learning something from fiction, from immersing in fiction, is incredibly effective.

Roy Williams says in today"s Monday Morning Memo, quoting
"Fiction is usually seen as escapist entertainment…But it"s hard to reconcile the escapist theory of fiction with the deep patterns we find in the art of storytelling… Our various fictional worlds are– on the whole– horrorscapes. Fiction may temporarily free us from our troubles, but it does so by ensnaring us in new sets of troubles– in imaginary worlds of struggle and stress and mortal woe… Fiction also seems to be more effective at changing beliefs than nonfiction, which is designed to persuade through argument and evidence. Studies show that when we read nonfiction, we read with our shields up. We are critical and skeptical. But when we are absorbed in a story, we drop our intellectual guard."
– Jonathan Gottschall

Today"s whole memo is to illustrate this idea... that story is real, immersive, and instructive.

I have learned a lot more from fiction than from training, from non-fiction, from coaching. And the cost of it was, of course, a lot lower.

On the other hand, I probably would not have learned that much from novels and maybe even movies had I not also learned distinctions from the more expensive, brainy activities of the other.

I have The Mind Parasites in the members area, and according to my statistics, my people haven"t been reading it.

Back in 1987, my accurate vocabulary measure in English was 700. Today it is 3500... With an accurate 700 vocabulary it was a difficult read. It is harder to read than most non-fiction, but because of the story, it is a lot more effective.

I am going to make a new rule: I won"t take on any new client who doesn"t, at least, attempt to read the book.

You don"t have to be a genius to become a client... if you don"t do what I ask you to do... I probably can"t help you.

Ambition, motivation, and will power... which one will give you a life worth living?

Today the sky is open and the motive power of the Universe can be downloaded. I"ll be doing it in a few minutes.

That energy, the Day of Power energy is what powers the spirit inside. The spirit that expresses itself, makes itself felt in you. If you refuse to move with it, the pressure is tremendous. In creativity it is the energy that pushes you to go beyond the limitation of the horizontal plane.

This article examines what makes you move, choose, act... Worth reading.

You want to be someone who can do things, who want to do things, who actually does things? This article will answer some of your questions on how to become that person.

I am reading a book, Diet Cults. The author and the book itself is as cultish as the diet cults it writes about, nevertheless it is worth my time to read it.

One thing I found interesting in this book is this "dissertation" about the importance and the effect of motivation in losing weight and maintaining the weight loss once the ideal weight is achieved.

What he is saying is that one needs a motivation, which I would rename, for the purposes of clarity, an outside or inside goal... According to the dictionary, "the reason or reasons one has for acting or behaving in a particular way." Or secondarily "the general desire or willingness of someone to do something"

But if you look at the root of the word, motivation is a power that moves you. Motivation is literally the desire to do things.
  • MOTIVATION: Something inner, something emotional or soul based...A subtle inner force.

  • AMBITION is similar, but it has a definite goal in mind, and what pulls and moves a person is a desire to achieve that definite goal.

  • WILL POWER means, again according to the dictionary: "the faculty by which a person decides on and initiates action" "a control deliberately exerted to do something or to restrain one"s own impulses."It is like a push to start... or alternatively a push to refrain from starting.

So which one would you rather have? Motivation, ambition, or will power?
  • If you have bad habits, which will pull you out and will keep you out most effectively?

  • Which one will get you out of bed early and pull you to put on your walking shoes when you are tired while the bed is beckoning?

  • Which one will stop your hand halfway to your mouth with the cookie or chocolate you swore you would lay off?

My hunch is that it is indeed MOTIVATION.

Why? Because motivation seems to be an ongoing, 24 hours a day power, a power that gently moves you, or tries to move you. It tries, it nudges you until you are ready to move.

Ambition, because it is going for a wholly outside of you, worldly result, will make you a fanatic, a workaholic, an overachiever, much like greed.

Ambition is so strong, that it may even make you step on other people to achieve what you set out to achieve.

And will power makes you brittle, and gritting teeth... no lightness, no grace in it. Forcing. Strong arming you. Ugh.

But, the question is, how do you get motivated if you find there is no motivation inside.

Thousands of motivational speakers have discovered that most people have little or no motivation, but would like results nevertheless. So they talk... but the effect of their talks is temporary at best.

The same is the purpose of the millions of inspirational memes on the internet: to motivate and inspire people, but without an inner source of motivation, they don"t even make a ripple on the dead inner surface of most people.

Why are people dead? Were they born dead inside?

My hunch is that low or no motivation is often born with... and the rest of unmotivated people, about 30% of that crowd, is the lasting effect of parental disapproval syndrome: on one hand wanting to please the parent, on the other hand only perfection pleases the parent, so people first try and then give up.

But what if you were born without motivation? According to my conversations with Source, entire cultures of people are born without motivation.

Motivation is a sign that a self is present. A person with a self is further along in evolutionary terms than a person without a self. The self is a uniquely human phenomenon.

Each and every person can awaken the self... and I have students who have, or who are working on it...

Once the self becomes fully available, motivation, inner motivation becomes also available... And of course there are degrees.

On average, measured today, the self is opened up on average about 7%. This average includes the 40% of humanity with not even an inkling of self, and the people with different degrees of flowering. It"s an average of all the people on the planet.

I have found that reading my articles, and especially participating in my coaching program, nudges the self, and for most, if there is any motivation inside, it inevitably awakens the self.

So what can you do if you don"t want to read my articles and don"t want to be in my coaching programs?

You can do what the articles on other sites say you should do: find external motivation, or pray for rain.

I have been testing a third method: altering your self-image... I"ll report on my findings in this same forum.

PS: Many people have buried, have hidden their motivation. Why? They can only take so much disappointment. Pain. Let-down. So they hide it and so something reasonable instead, like a job.

These are the people I would most like to have in my programs... because they can get the most results out of them.

I have found that these people need to be asked questions, the right questions, before they allow you to see the hidden, precious, bruised inner ambition.

And when it comes out, then gently nudge it to flowering.

The Juice exercise (expensive), questions in books, questions in TV shows (like “Don’t you want to do something that only YOU can do?” in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (Amazon), or accidental questions you hear as if it were asked of you (the cocktail party effect), or ferreted out (like in the color exercise) will eventually dig out the buried treasure.

Motivation is for doing, not for having. Motivation is the human spirit wanting to fly, and is hurting until it does.

And if you have it, or if you can strengthen it by pulling back the desire trap ((the desire trap is a mind working. It jumps over doing, jumps over life, and takes you to the experience directly. And while you life a puny, desperate life, it gives you the experience whenever you think of it. Shitty life plus desire trap equals a shitty life)) that dampens it, takes the wind out of its sail, you are going to live a life worth living.

PPS: The Avatar State Activators (the audios that can take you to the Avatar State, are an invaluable state-changers, where you, for the moments you work with the energy by sticking your chest out, allow you to get glimpses of your inner spirit by liberating it, by allowing it to fly... for those moments. The more often you do this, the faster you"ll get in touch with your motivation... motivation is just another word for inner spirit.

Why are my numbers so low even though I have invested so much into spiritual teaching?

These should be frequently asked questions, and yet no one asks these questions, as a rule

I am continuing the practice of giving free strategy sessions to people who buy the Starting Point Measurements.

It"s work for me. It"s hard on my body having to be with their resistance, fear, or whatever they are feeling. It"s often talking to people whom, in normal circumstances, I would avoid. Why? Because they are argumentative, because they are often hostile, and because only one in 13 knows that I am an empath, what is an empath, and how I got to the measurements I got to. So they never did any work on knowing what they are paying for.

So, it"s hard. And yet. Sitting in my ivory tower is not useful any more.
Each person brings something to light I would not have otherwise seen.

For example a person yesterday. Soul correction "Finish What You Start"... I have other people with this soul correction, and they are argumentative. But I never realized that this is part of this soul correction. Arguing is a type of resistance: you block input and you put yourself in control... I don"t do well with people who argue. They, intentionally, put me on the defensive, and I have nothing to defend...

So for this learning I am grateful. I don"t work well with this type of soul correction... with this type of attitude.

The second thing I learned from this person is through a question he asked:

How come that I am still doing so poorly after I have invested so much into spiritual teaching?

((Everybody wants to teach what you can"t fathom. Everybody thinks they have a gift to give to humanity. But what they miss is that the only gift you need to give is yourself... by becoming all you can become... not some fancy words... that from YOUR mouth they are red-faced lies. And when you become a spiritual teacher, or mindset teacher, you cannot grow, because the inner tension won"t allow you... The most wretched of all are the ones that pretend that they have something to give, something that they don"t actually have.))

And that is a really good question. No one has asked it before. So I will answer it publicly:

The answer, of course, depends on an important factor:
1. is the teaching good and really spiritual?

(the opposite of spiritual here is Tree of Knowledge, rehashed information, where the teacher never actually experienced what he tries to teach... it is just talk. Truth repeated is a lie!)

Inauthenticity means: nothing is hidden, there is nothing that should be say but isn"t.

I have literally never met anyone who wasn"t repeating truth as if it were their personal truth in the "spirituality/mindset" space.

Everybody should preface everything they say or write: do as I say, not as I do. Unless they say so, they are inauthentic.

Which means that whatever they say won"t work for you. Why? Because they can only know about what they are saying that came from their mind, the meaning making machine, and therefore what gets through to you is their meaning.

You will also see, that this part, whether the teaching is good won"t matter much to you unless... and that takes us to the second factor
2. Are you hearing things truly?

Most people, maybe all people, hear things through the meaning making machine: the mind. The mind interprets everything, and therefore you never heard what was said. YOU... the mind, maybe, heard it, but distorted it, replaced it with its own meaning.

Therefore no teaching will make a positive difference unless someone first teaches you to hear things as they are said, without the interference of the mind.

This is had work. It has to be systematic, or it won"t work. Spot cleaning, shooting at it with a pellet gun won"t do it.

The resistance to this teaching is tremendous. Your delusional self, the construct of the mind, objects to it.

Some rare individuals, like Tiger Woods, with a stake big enough to do it, may do it...

Tiger Woods had to change the foundation of his game some time ago, I don"t remember where, something about his stroke?

The whole world was aghast...

In 1977 I had to change my world view, completely, to be able to grow. And then again about ten years later. And again another ten years later. And again and again. I am in the middle of one of these "rebirth" processes.

I needed to abandon my "I know" stance, and start becoming a person with a different seed level.

If you had a religious upbringing, it will be very difficult and very painful.

But unless you start again, you"ll be more and more inauthentic, more and more "rotten to the core", with more and more pretense.

Spiritual growth is ultimately a series of throwing away the old seed level, and starting new again.

Unheard of, isn"t it?
This inauthenticity feeds your delusional self... feeds your desire, and of course lowers your vibration, lowers your integrity, lowers your self-love, lowers your health, in spite of the "work" you invest in getting better, or maybe because of it.

Because investing work without the foundation makes you worse off.

The people who curse me out, and believe me, there are plenty of those, are the people who invested the most in self-growth, self-realization, spiritual growth.

It"s not an accident. And I can see from their measurements that they will... so I brace myself. The anger, the fury, the spewing is like a volcano... they can"t contain it.

Question: How do you know if you should buy something or not?

I partially answered this question in blog posts, but I"ll endeavor to answer it here, fully.
1. The biggest barrier to accurate decisions is desire.

Desire is that pesky feeling that comes from the mind.

Desire is where you imagine the end result of you having the object of your desire in your mind"s eye. In reality you don"t have it... in imagination you do. And it feels like a done deal, a jump. All you need to do is close your eyes... and it"s there.

The mind doesn"t care about the path to it. The mind doesn"t care if it belongs to someone else, if it hurts someone else. It imagines it and suggests that you should have it.

In common parlance we call this greed. It is the killer of ambition, it is the killer of decency, it is the killer of humanity.

It blocks you from hearing most of the things that would allow you to make a good buying decision. It blocks you from doing the things that could ever help you accomplish what you aim at, blocks you from being honest with yourself.

It relegates you to a zombie chasing mirages in all areas of life, health, wealth, love, happiness, and spirituality.

It is the tale of the drowned man...

A fellow was stuck on his rooftop in a flood. He was praying to God for help.

Soon a man in a rowboat came by and the fellow shouted to the man on the roof, "Jump in, I can save you."

The stranded fellow shouted back, "No, it"s OK, I"m praying to God and he is going to save me."

So the rowboat went on.

Then a motorboat came by. "The fellow in the motorboat shouted, "Jump in, I can save you."

To this the stranded man said, "No thanks, I"m praying to God and he is going to save me. I have faith."

So the motorboat went on.

Then a helicopter came by and the pilot shouted down, "Grab this rope and I will lift you to safety."

To this the stranded man again replied, "No thanks, I"m praying to God and he is going to save me. I have faith."

So the helicopter reluctantly flew away.

Soon the water rose above the rooftop and the man drowned. He went to Heaven. He finally got his chance to discuss this whole situation with God, at which point he exclaimed, "I had faith in you but you didn"t save me, you let me drown. I don"t understand why!"

To this God replied, "I sent you a rowboat and a motorboat and a helicopter, what more did you expect?"

People with high desire number and low ambition number in their Starting Point Measurements are unable to take actions that make a difference, that move them in the direction of their desire.

Sales pitches habitually show you the end result of what you consider buying, and none of the intermediate steps. the purpose of this move is to put you into a high desire state.

It even works on me. It seems to be hardwired in humans. Maybe in all living things... Just think how they catch monkeys in the rain forest: they put a nut or a banana in an opening in a tree trunk. the opening is big enough for the monkey"s paw to get in, but not big enough to allow the paw with the goodie to come through.

The monkey doesn"t want to let go of the goodie... and neither do you. But to be able to have what you want, you"d have to... you would need to let go.

And you don"t. And you never do anything for what you want... other than buying stuff you can"t use.

And that takes us to the next part of the answer:
To make sound buying decisions, you need to widen your cone of vision, and see the big picture.

I mostly muscle test, but even that is a multiple step process.

As long as I focus on wanting the result, Source says "no" to my question.

If I am able to let go of the fixation, then I start to ask questions of myself, my time, my willingness, my skill set, my knowledge, whether I would enjoy doing what it takes to get the result, whether it is a good time investment, etc. What exactly I would use it for? I even need to make some promises...

And, occasionally, very rarely, in the end I get a yes answer.

The moment I buy the darn thing I see why it was a "no". Because it is hard... because it needs skills I don"t have... because because because.

Now, the next step is an integrity issue. Are you willing to make your whole life not work because of a broken promise?

I am not. And occasionally this new challenge, and it is a challenge, makes me grow. Makes me re-evaluate what I am doing with my business, with my life, with my health, with my time.

I start to see new openings, new opportunities, and life opens up.

Why? Because I chose integrity.

Here is how it went down... so far.

I went on a webinar. They sold a method to drive a lot of people to your site.

I already had what they were trying to sell. I bought it 2-3 maybe even four years ago. I never used it. I have a lot of money invested in it.

I decided to use my credits...

I realized that even after this time, I had no clue how to do it: I had a lot of skills missing to be able to turn those credits, about a thousand dollars worth of credits, to money.

So I started to break up the assignment into little manageable pieces, each requiring learning a new skill.

I asked for help. I did make new promises in my accountability community.
And did a little bit every day... and accidentally I discovered that I have a product I never marketed, and I am the #1 authority in it: eating right by your DNA... I have all knowledge, and I can tell about each food if it is right for you or not.

No one else can do it, because they don"t have access to the database... all-knowledge. Only I do.

You see, lots of steps, lots of little steps, and I haven"t even passed the first hurdle... there are about six more, each with lots of little skills I don"t have.

But that is really how life is. To climb to the top of a mountain, lots of steps... No jumping.

Even if you don"t have muscle testing you can trust, going through the mental exercise of seeing what it will take to have the result you want but cannot buy! you"ll see if you should spend the money or not.
The worst is not the loss of the money, it is the loss of your integrity.

So don"t be casual about it. Please.

Why are my numbers so low even though I have invested so much into spiritual teaching?

Please.

Is it a good thing to have high desire? Is ambition evil? Does the Law of Attraction teach you to be greedy?

Desire vs ambition. What is the difference? Which one should you have?

For most people words mean something... approximately. Their life reflects this unclarity. Clarity is one of the most important determinants of one"s life... this is why I measure it in the starting point measurements.

I watched a guy who until his clarity went up to 3500, he was miserable.

Most people I measure have a clarity of 200-400. Puny at best, sh*tty life. Guaranteed.

Ok, desire and ambition. Let"s agree what the words mean... energetically.

Desire is 100% desire for the self alone. Wanting something for yourself but not being willing, not even considering doing work to get it. If someone else has what you want, you envy it, you are jealous of them... but to match the work they did... hell no.

Ambition, on the other hand is a willingness to work, to sweat, to do for one"s own fulfillment. The higher your ambition the more you can accomplish the faster.

Desire takes the energy away from ambition...

Desire is mainly a mind thing: if you can see it, if you can imagine it, then therefore you should have it... without work, without sweating for it, instantly... or fast. Desire makes you a zombie chasing mirages.

Nothing ever gets accomplished in the mind. The mind is the stupid, unrealistic, unreasonable part of the brain. It is Plato"s Cave... engaging with shadows.

The part of the brain where you plan your actions is a totally different part... and ambition is using that different part, not the mind.

In my work with people desire is the greatest foe. Managing it, lowering it, preventing it from stealing the "show" is hard work, and I have to be careful not to awaken it.

Some people, some soul corrections are more prone to high desire than others. Envy, jealousy, withholding their energy so no one else really benefits.

"I want to get more than what I give..." wanting to win all the time.

Being willing to see this tendency is hard and heartbreaking to this type of person. I want mine and I want yours too...

As employees they rarely work out: they are perpetually dissatisfied, and judge their employer: they don"t see why they aren"t the one calling the shot...

My last conversation with my brother when I told him that is why he was unemployable made him not ever want to talk to me again.

There is no innocent desire. All desire is desire for the self alone...

Ambition, on the other hand is generous. It is able to share, it is able to gift, it is able to give value... in fact what gives fulfillment is the giving of value.

But it can flip to the stinginess of desire if the desire number is high.

You want your desire number not higher than 30%... or it will eat your lunch.

The difference between ambition and desire

an article by Dr Krish Ranganath in Nigeria, Africa

Ambition & desire are two seemingly similar ideas but in reality are concepts that have a world of difference. Ambition is the desire for achievement, while desire in its most raw form is just pure greed and avarice. While it is perfectly reasonable to be ambitious it really does not bode well if we are too desirous of something.

Oftentimes we get confused with the philosophy of the Gita (Hindu Holy book) desireless actions. We think that this basically means going through life in a mechanical way without any ambition. We then start to drift aimlessly in life.

Ambition is very important in life. It is the chief motivator that propels us to be achieve great things, It makes us want to do better in life. However pure desire is bad. Desire for power, wealth or fame is extremely bad and in fact can tempt people to use dishonest means.

Ambition is never affected by evil thoughts. Ambition is pure. It is the driving force which makes us do things, to get better in life.

Ambition propels us to great heights while craving or wanton desire can really result in a person"s downfall.

So while we should be ambitious we should really avoid greed and avarice.

There are techniques to curtail the desire... mostly by involving the thinking, planning, comparing, reasoning part of the brain.

Every time you can see the end result without seeing or planning the process is a hook into you to raise your desire, to hook the zombie chasing mirages.

Most every product seller uses the technique of showing how happy, how rich, how beautiful you"ll be if you buy their product. And none of them shows the blood, sweat and tears it would take if you had the ambition. The number and depth of skills, the knowledge, the stamina, the diligence, the consistency, the time it would take if you had the ambition.

Desire buys the stuff you can"t use. And you are a sucker.

I have been asking questions to sneak in some reality into my buying decisions... estimating the time investment, estimating the return on investment, the speed of return, the difficulty of the process.

And really looking if I have enough ambition to give to what I am thinking of buying.

So far 90% of what I looked at turned out to be not worth buying. And the 10% I still bought: 90% of that wasn"t worth buying... the results were disappointing, especially when you compare how much work it took to make it work as directed.

I have more ambition than most.

You can have ambition for money, for your health, for your emotions, for your spirituality, for fulfillment.

Most people who buy my products find that they lack the ambition to use them. It makes me feel bad...

I am not alone to have clients like this. For example when I was a Landmark Education participant, the time and effort investment required of you to accomplish anything from a program, was higher than most people were willing to invest.

Boggles the mind.

PS: Lots of quotes, lots of memes are translations. Translators are people with a higher than average clarity about words, but not high.

The Spinoza quote is an example. Or maybe in the 17th century, in the Netherlands, ambition was desire for power over others. I really don"t know.

In one favorite movie/book of mine, Karacter, a Dutch movie, the two main characters, father and son, are on the two extremes: father: desire for the self alone. son: ambition. Ambition to achieve.

Clarity is not easy to come by... The lack of clarity is what makes the world this Valley of the Shadow of Death...
