Capacities, distinctions, intelligence, and success in life: strong correlation.

Let"s start with debunking the current world view, that intelligence is inborn. We are all born tabula raza... a blank slate.

Your intelligence depends on the number of large chunks, neural connections permanently formed in your brain firing together automatically. Those chunks are created in learning.

Reality has two parts: the visible reality, the part that can be perceived by anyone, and the invisible reality that is governed by the invisible dynamics... that you actually need to learn to see.

The invisible reality is an iceberg: the visible part provides clues for the invisible part: that there is something invisible yet real. Depending on how you look at the visible part, through what vantage point, you are going to see different aspects of the invisible. One of the ways, one of the vantage points to look through is the learning to learn course. ((In this article I am illustrating my own method of how to learn something using the "zone of proximal development" by connecting the new material to already strong distinctions. The zone of proximal development is the area where you already have scaffolding, furring strips for the new distinction to attach itself. Most people have very few and very sparsely... and the illusion of knowledge prevents them from actually creating those islands of knowledge... ))

The principle of intelligence is: the more problem solving chunks your brain has, i.e. the more neural connections you have, or speaking in transformational technology terms: the more distinctions you have, the more difficult problems you can solve.

Life is full of difficult problems that you can either solve or you suffer. The most pain comes from other people.

When I measure how many spiritual capacities you have active in your DNA, the correlation between the number of spiritual capacities, the number of distinctions, and success in life is obvious, although the why isn"t quite obvious... yet.

What qualifies a "spiritual" teacher to teach, is that they are one step ahead of their students, one lesson...

At least that is what I thought until this morning.

But...

So... I just finished the Learning How to Learn Course. I learned a lot. I also learned that as a How-to course, it teaches you ABOUT how to learn, but learning to learn is a whole different animal... unless you can turn the how-to into actual learning, learning will not take place.

But the tools and techniques in the course are useful, so someone, maybe me, can actually teach you to learn.

Gradually. Hopefully. Finally, for most of you.

So I have decided to set myself out on a path to learn to teach, to teach myself to teach: teach at least some people to learn. To create distinctions, neural islands of neurons that fire together, automatically. ((The book on Brain Plasticity: The Brain That Changes Itself: Stories of Personal Triumph from the Frontiers of Brain Science by Norman Doidge MD. I read that book. It talks about learning that is not intellectual, therefore even YOU will get that knowing about it, practicing it a little, won"t create the neural automatic island of connection: it talks about blind people learning to see through a patch on their body, a paralyzed stroke induces arm or hand learn to do the movements it needs to learn, etc.

That book really pokes a hole into the worldwide myth that reading a book, watching a video, taking a course will create working knowledge in your brain. If for no other reason, read it if you can. I only have the printed version, so I can"t gift you with the book, sorry.))

In this context, my learning effectiveness: I will measure my success in the active distinctions that work within you... automatically. In the context of the Playground course, whether you can see, automatically, if something is real or not, without having to look at the pdf... Or whether you look "what is the complaint?" without thinking when you are not happy...

A distinction is a group of neurons, in the brain, that gets some work done, without you needing to be conscious of it.

Chewing, swallowing, throwing a ball, are simple distinctions that you can, as an adult, take for granted. No conscious thought required. But when you learned it, it had to be first conscious, and then, through practice, unconscious.

Depending on how many neurons it takes to perform a task, the distinctions are simple or complex.

Distinctions are the key elements to intelligence, intelligent behavior.

Here are a few examples pointing to missing distinctions, and the resulting lack of intelligent behavior:

  • 1. This civil engineer...

...was visiting an environmental cleanup site. The stuff to clean up was very dry, and the wind blew.

Engineer or no engineer, our guy didn"t think of putting a handkerchief or a filter over his mouth and nose... so he breathed in the stuff that was deemed an environmental hazard. Now he is coughing, and he is worried.

He has distinctions about some stuff, but not about others, like if it is bad on the ground, it will be definitely bad in his lungs...

Intelligent behavior is impossible when chunks of knowledge is missing or is overpowered by some other concerns... Like wanting to look like a hero, fearless... because the concern would call a dude with filter over his nose and mouth a sissy...

Diagnosis: distinction is either weak, or the concern is too strong... Causing lack of intelligent behavior.

The next thing to do, for this person, is to deal with both issues, missing distinction AND the concern.

  • 2. This university student

has been in my courses, reading my articles for nearly six years, without ever making a lasting impact on his life.

He comes up with new ideas about why that is, at least once a week. They all sound brilliant. Astounding. Yet, his results in life, in any area, are between zero and none.

Looking at his behavior through the distinction of the how to learn course, I suddenly saw something.

One thing has been bothering me about him for a few months now: even though he knows how to energize his water, even though he knows how important that is, his cell hydration, habitually, drops to scarcity level.

He doesn"t take care of it. He doesn"t drink the coherent water that would keep his cell hydration number above 30%, or maybe he simply stops making it? I haven"t asked. But it is obvious: cell hydration isn"t a distinction for him, it is not automatic for him to make and drink the coherent water... no chunks, he has information but no knowledge. ((In the past six years this student got a disproportionate amount of attention from me... and has managed to turn all that teaching, all that guidance into a big fat zero. His brilliance helped him dupe me... but didn"t help him to create a life worth living for him.

https://youtu.be/DJTt5I8K4Rk?t=30

Somewhere in my reading, actually many places, animals use deceit to lure a predator away from their young. This student uses deceit to lure me away from that fact that he won"t learn.))

As I said above, a distinction fully operational in your brain will work without your conscious thought... So until a distinction, in his case, making and drinking his energized water so his physical self is well enough to support what he is doing, we can safely say that he has probably no useful distinctions in his brain, no chunks, no useful learning has taken place, that would make him act intelligently in life.

He has the brain of a newborn. He may have rules from religion, from his parents, from himself, but they don"t form distinctions, they don"t physically manifest in his brain.

So what prevents him from forming those distinctions? If you think that the two cases are similar, you are right.

What prevents him from forming those distinctions is a concern.

This university student throws everything in the wind, so he can get his concern met: that he is viewed and that he feels brilliant.

That concern, even though it looks innocent, is the altar he sacrifices his whole life on... especially when it comes to learning.

All learning makes you feel stupid, slow, unequal to the task. Intolerable if you have a standard that you have to be brilliant all the time.

Result: he never actually learned anything to the level that permanent brain structures, neural changes would happen in his brain. He is a man without any intelligence.

  • 3. A third student, also an engineer,

was showing no promising signs that she can be taught anything.

But in my little research into teaching has accidentally taken me to proximal whatever it was... that says that if you can teach what is very close to what the student knows, then it is possible to teach someone. While if you try to teach new things without leaning, building on existing knowledge, you"ll fail.

This student"s access to any and all knowledge is his deep and profound knowledge of horses. The care and training of horses, including turning a horse from disobedient or neurotic into a happy, productive horse.

Amazing, if you ask me.

She even recalls that all her engineering studies were built on this island of knowledge... the horses.

Our job, hers and mine, is to build all new knowledge onto and adjacent to the existing knowledge, so she/you can start living a life larger than what her/your current distinctions allow for.

Your distinctions or the lack of them, stake out the area of life where you can be effective, intelligent, productive, and ultimately happy.

Learning and establishing new distinctions with this knowledge of proximity makes learning fast(er) and possible.

Teaching someone with no distinctions is quite a different bag of tricks... and I don"t know how to do it yet. Until one half-baked distinction becomes permanent, i.e. self-running, there is no hope to ever reach intelligence.

Every polymath, every productive person started out with one distinction that they deepened until it become a solid foundation for all knowledge to be built upon.

That, the first chunk, is the challenge.

In my case, my life turned around, and it is still turning, around a piece of knowledge, a distinction verbalized by Hillel 2500 years ago: "If I am not for me, who is for me? If not now... when? If I am only for myself... who am I?"

It is becoming clear to me that I have a concern to occupy as little of the earth as I can... a kind of "martyr concern" that has been making me not use, not take advantage all that life has to offer. My identity is vested in being the person who can make something from nothing, like the dude in the fairy tale "Stone soup". ((

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pphUfE0ERt0

))

I am slowly learning to counter the concern, and at least some of the time take actions that take care of me. Slowly, but surely. It is a daily struggle.

Until you can conquer your concern, much of the time, you are like a one-legged man in an ass kicking contest... not very good.

The above student examples, the engineer who wants to look strong and fearless, the other guy brilliant, and me: able to live on nothing... are all in for a long road to hoe.

I don"t know the concern of the horse person... It is not that easy to get clarity about THE concern...

But everyone has one main concern that they dance around all their lives... a concern is like having your foot nailed to the floorboards, so you can move ONLY around it...

Your favorite fairy tale may be a clue. Or your favorite hero "script", mine is "the hero who succeeds in the face of incredible odds": disease, racial discrimination, poverty, imprisonment, etc.

I would laugh if it were funny... it is tragic...

PS: As I am editing this article, I am rejoiced to remember that our "brilliant" student may have some area where he has distinctions... and that is pattern recognition. And now that I see it, I can test it if it is really so, and can start help him build a whole body of distinctions on that one distinction, that one island.

As far fetched it sounds, every single half-learned distinction he has can be connected to that one... one by one... not automatically the way he would hope.

His success will depend on his willingness to not be brilliant all the time, in fact to feel stupid and continue learning... Which is a TLB size issue... To what degree he is willing to not be a Twitchy Little Bastard.

Why can"t you learn, and how could you? The single most important factor...

Going from smart to intelligent...

In this article I am biting off more than I can chew... So it will probably make more sense to people who are in my programs, and will make sense once I learn how to speak/write it coherently. ((I was just checking what the dictionary (Tree of Knowledge says about intelligent vs. smart. Turns out that probably intentionally, just to make you less intelligent, lol, not funny, they use the two terms opposite of what they actually measure.

here is just one of the definitions on the internet:

  • The difference between smartness and intelligence is mainly behavioral. (truth value of this statement: 20%.)

  • While an intelligent person can be smart, but a smart person may not be intelligent. (truth value of this statement: 80%.)

  • Intelligence means the ability to acquire information rather rapidly. (truth value of this statement: 30%.)

  • Intelligence is a trait a person has since birth. (truth value of this statement: 10%.)

As you can see, there is no clarity, their is no usable knowledge floating around on the internet...  and what is is both misleading and useless...

OK, for the purposes of our conversations, I call what you are born with smart... and what you develop I will call intelligence.

Ultimately what intelligence measures is the structures you have built in your brain that make it possible to learn new things and use them. This is how the behavior effects the number you get.

I have raised my intelligence (my measures, not some test... muscle testing!) from 100 at age 16 to 150 today. Did I get smarter? No. I am as dumb as I was at age 16. But I can do a lot more with that brain of mine... due to all the structures I have built in my brain, intellectual and practical knowledge combined.

The structures are scaffolding, also called furring strips, and in the Learning how to learn course, they are called chunks... these are invisible information structures in the brain making it possible to learn more.

The first such structures develop in the early years, while you are in theta brain state... Depending on how much exposure, stimulus, challenges you had during those years, you got a good head start, or a poor head start.

Being protective or disciplinary about a child, you make the biggest difference in what they are going to be later in life... smart with no intelligence, or smart with amazing intelligence. It is, at this point up to you.

If you are smart but not intelligent, you"ll probably end up with a child like yourself... not happy, not successful, not able to grow.

Many of my students have a higher number for smart than they have for intelligence. One of my students has 100 for smart, and 70 for intelligence. Another student has 100 for smart, and 110 for intelligence. That is the direction you want to move to... your smart measure is fixed... but you can increase your intelligence with tenacity, and persistence.)) What"s missing? Why are so many smart people less than successful?

This is going to be a series.

  • This part deals with learning... The brain state conducive to learning...

  • Then, in coming parts, we"ll talk about why you can"t learn something, even though you are smart...

  • Why you can"t use something that you thought you learned...

  • And what you can do so you can go from smart to intelligent.

Intelligence is the ability to get results with the knowledge you got... as opposed to smart: able to get a lot of knowledge...

I just finished the Learning how to learn course

Here are some observations and thoughts that will raise that course"s truth value to 60%. Without these, it is 30%. Not bad... but not good either.

Important distinctions of the course: (there are more, but these are the most important barriers to learning.)

Focused state learning vs. fuzzy state learning

Like with everything, there are distinctions that are in the visible domain of reality, and distinctions that are invisible until they are distinguished...

In the visible domain, the difference is your brain"s attitude about the material, the brain"s approach.

In order to get into the focused state, the brain needs to first force itself to exclude everything else, so it narrows your cone of vision, your cone of hearing, it tries to ignore your back itching... because it is HELLBENT to get what you are intending to get.

I used to get into this mode occasionally, especially when I saw a questionnaire to fill in, a quiz... fear. Fear of making an ass of myself.

And it was, predictably, a self-fulfilling prophecy: in that focused state I could not get the question right (the context), so my answers were predictably wrong.

Or I just simply could not fill out the form... And had a lot of punishments in my life.

At some point, since I started doing this work, and connecting to Source much of the day, this attitude towards questions has disappeared.

So what is there for people who cannot learn despite their efforts to learn?

This is the question I had on my mind when I did some back and forth with one of my students who hasn"t been able to learn the foundations of the Playground course, despite her spending a lot of efforts to do so.

Our exchange ended with me saying "it took me years to get it... so there is no hurry", and her answering "Oh dear!
Well, at least that lessens the fear of falling behind..."

Another one of the distinctions of the Learning how to learn course is "project vs process"

She was, obviously, in project mode. I will get this done, no matter what!

And although she used tools of process learning, she was HELLBENT, and that made her do all the things hellbent people do: force, force, and force some more.

In that state learning is impossible. Literally no new knowledge goes through.

It is like trying to convince a mad drunk that the other person, he is fighting and hellbent to kill, didn"t mean to insult him. He will turn his fury towards you, kill you, and then kill the offending other.

Yeah, and most of you, who even make efforts to learn, do that.

Forceful, beating the material into submission.

You can see it in your breathing. You can see it in your posture. And you are tired, and you are used up, and you are wrong, and an underachiever.

The course, Learning how to learn, has two other distinctions that you try to benefit from: focused brain state, and fuzzy brain state. In essence, how my students interpret it, is...

Narrow cone of vision, nose to the grindstone, and wide cone of vision.

Obviously, like everything on the Internet, the creators of the course approach everything from the visible... and get stuck there.

I don"t know about the focused state, but if I had to rename it: I would call it the hellbent state... forceful.
And the fuzzy brain state: the only brain state where learning happens while you are awake and aware, is the theta brain state...

I learn to move into that brain state in the Photoreading course... for me it is easy. You put your attention, gently, no forcing, on your tangerine spot... the spot where a tangerine would sit if you had one, and keep it there... balancing the flat bottom tangerine.

Anything and everything coming at you while you do that becomes food for your brain. Concepts just rush in, and you don"t have to do anything to learn.

Little kids are in theta brain state, sucking up knowledge like a sponge. It is by design: to live in this world, you have to know a lot of things.

Of course, the brain will not be able to tell if what you are learning is bullsh*t or worth learning, but once the knowledge is there, you can allow the brain to sort it through, separate the wheat from the chaff. ((winnowing: blow a current of air through (grain) in order to remove the chaff.))

You can, maybe, see that being in the forceful "focused" hellbent mode, there is no separation going on... all is treated the same way.

I have been teaching people to get into the theta brain wave mode. And while they can, when I am checking it, they promptly enter focused mode a minute later...

So most people cannot learn, cannot stay "loose and yet awake and aware", they only know two modes, sleepy and forceful.

If you learned to feel your feelings, your physical feelings, you would be able to tell where your brain is at...

In focused mode the gentle pressure is in the front part of the brain, meaning in the front half... not just the forehead... the front half.

That is the mind"s location where all forcing comes from.

And when you are in fuzzy mode, you are balancing a tangerine that is about to slid off, backwards... so the area where the tangerine would be, signals a gentle pressure.

A want time student and friend used to put a rubber band to the tangerine spot, and the small weight on his skull directed his attention. So he managed to be in theta brain state most of the time.

But when, in classes he wanted to answer an question, he slid into mind-mode, and almost always said something stupid.

It was the next step that he could not wrap himself around: stay in fuzzy mode.

It happens that in fuzzy mode, the eyes relax as well, and widen the field of vision, inside and outside, so they can see more than just what is at hand... that is what allows the "winnowing" to happen: other stuff already in the brain informs the brain whether what is new, the incoming, is wheat of chaff.

Of course, most of what a regular person has in their brain is Tree of Knowledge, so 95% chaff... so being it theta mode, and pondering mode, while you walk, while you are in the shower, etc. you can get rid of a lot of the chaff... if your pondering is in theta mode.

I have a student who says he is pondering, but my hunch is that he is forcing pondering, because his view is narrow, and he never even attempts to check the veracity of his convictions.

He is the kind of guy who comes to every call with a new conviction, and doesn"t even have a question why he is so convinced about all of them... and haven"t come to a coherent picture yet.

And he hasn"t... and if he continues to do pondering as a forceful exercise, he never will.

Some soul corrections really struggle with exactly that... being able or being willing to see the big picture where it is obvious, to the brain, what is the direction to go, what is the real issue, what there is to do.

At the end of the connected meditations, the brain calisthenics exercises, I always asked the participants to open their eyes, and gently look around in the room... without naming what their eyes looked at.

In theta brain mode you can do that, in mind brain mode, you have to... meaning: no mystery, no openness, you already know, you are closed to new input.

I am now looking through old articles, to see what else I have been able to see about you that would, maybe, help me to help you to become flexible and become a person who can learn... and enjoy learning.

If you read this article attentively, you could see in the paired distinction, the either/or distinctions above, what states you are unable to learn.

1. focused mode
2. project mode
3. narrow cone of vision/fear mode/concern mode

I didn"t talk much about the project mode... so here it goes. In project mode you are more interested in getting to the other side of the project, than the process of going through it.

I call that mode homework mode.

Full of haste, forcing, and ultimately a definite distaste for the doing part.

If you are in project mode/homework mode, you can"t learn. Because you cannot keep your attention on what you are doing: you only want to get to the other end.

  • Most people even eat this way. They go to a restaurant, order some expensive food, and then rush through it.

  • Most people drink this way: they just want the buzz.

  • Most people have sex this way: just want to have the 3-second experience at the end.

  • Most people travel this way: they just want to show their travel pictures to everyone... not go through the experience themselves.

It is an unproductive way to approach life.

Older people say: life got faster... but life is not faster... it goes a minute every minute... except you are not there for the minute, you are for whatever you aim for.

When you go to bed, you just want to fall asleep... so you miss the beauty and enjoyment of the being alone in the dark, finally being able to be yourself phase.

Oh well...

OK, here are the elements of being and staying in theta brain mode:

Entering theta brain wave

1. locate your tangerine spot.
2. put all your attention on it to activate. Press with your attention... it is like a switch
3. you know your tangerine spot is active if and when it buzzes (or you feel a gentle pressure in the bones of you skull).
4. keep it on... if accidentally you lose it, just return, gently, and activate it again.

use this state to

1. listen to videos, audios, lectures, webinars
2. read articles
4. read books
5. in your interactions.

Being in theta state allows you to stay out of your mind, as long as you are in theta state... it"s obvious... the buzzing T-spot.

no labeling, naming, comparing

Intelligence... an empath"s view

I am an empath... I am an architect... I am a thinker... I am a business woman and I am a musician.

All of these are fueled, or made possible by intelligence. The kind of intelligence that you need, no matter what you want to do with your life.

But the most important part of intelligence: knowing what is the order of things is my weakest... even though without that intelligence, without that capacity fully functional, nearly all I do is spinning my wheels. I have been working on that capacity to open fully for the past 10 years... Now it"s 90% open... Those 10 percents are missing for me to be fully intelligent.

Intelligence ((Definition of intelligence

1 a (1) : the ability to learn or understand or to deal with new or trying situations : reason; also : the skilled use of reason

(2) : the ability to apply knowledge to manipulate one"s environment or to think abstractly as measured by objective criteria (such as tests)

b Christian Science : the basic eternal quality of divine Mind

c : mental acuteness : shrewdness )) is a number. Numbers are easy to see, easy to compare. I am not talking about IQ, who knows what "they" are measuring... What I am measuring is the full use of your brain and body to live the good life, health, wealth, love and fulfillment.

The number shows to what degree you can create and live the good life for yourself. And this article will attempt to point to the missing at the root level... so you can start there, instead of where all those books and articles out there tell you to start. So you can succeed.

Intelligence is what makes you able to navigate the treacherous world of humans, see things for what they are, be able to compare things even if they aren"t in front of you, and find what is more primary and what is secondary so you can do things in order, and lastly accomplish things.

If we look at it with our strait and narrow method, where intelligence is that narrow body of water separating two lands, then any spot we find on land isn"t intelligence, and any spot we find in water is.

1. navigate the treacherous world of humans... what can you do that will make that not successful or not possible?

Being alert and aware comes to mind to invert... So being in your head, not out where other humans are is a great way to be not intelligent.

If you make up your own stuff about what is important to other people, and act accordingly, then you are not intelligent. Reading articles, reading books about it... Ultimately articles and books don"t tell you to test their theories, or sharpen your tools that help you decipher, observe, and adjust your behavior so you can be intelligent.

This is the biggest issue that makes you and billions of others unable to be intelligent. In your relationships, in your work, you are not aware, you don"t pay attention, you think that what you think in your head has any relevance to your life.

And you are wrong. People are not things, and they need to be observed, watched, or you"ll be in trouble.

I had an incident yesterday that woke me up. I was walking my stairs, and this guy just started his seven climbs workout. I waited for him. We started to talk... even though I saw that he wasn"t into talking.

And he asked how I was... and I answered... another strike against me, and because I was stupid (not intelligent) I peppered my answer with four letter words.

I felt his inside cringe... but I continued. Now it turned into a confirmation testing, instead of just being stupid.

Then I left him and walked home. I felt like a pariah, and for the first time in my 70 years, I physically felt the cost of not controlling my mouth. This is the start of behavior modification: the insight.

I vowed to learn to speak without curse words... And settled in for the long haul. (important: not hoping for an instant change in a behavior that has been around at least 60 years!)

Most people interact with people based on decisions they made when they were little, or teachings from adults.

Rigid and scripted... covering up natural and intelligent behaviors, appropriate to the other or the situation.

You may have invented to be always fiercely independent... and now you are a one-trick pony... lonely and miserable.
You may have invented to be always nice... and now you can"t say no, cannot say what you mean, because it made you unable to be normal.
You may have invented to be fearful and cautious in life... and now you are like a stiff tiny thing... unable to be intimate, unable to stand up for yourself... not intelligent. Not at all.

2. See things for what they are

The second most important way you are not intelligent is thinking that the way things are is the way you see them.

If you have a hammer, everything looks like a nail. But there are hundreds of other tools, but you don"t see them. It would take you to give up knowing how things are, and to look to see how they really are.

Never happens, does it?

And this makes you really stupid, really unintelligent...

I see this in your behavior on my sites, in your behavior with energizing your water, doing everything you do. Boggles the mind that you don"t see it... but, of course, I have my own issues in this area.

Human arrogance tells us that what we see is what we get... except that not always.

I am dyslexic, and as a dyslexic person I see even stuff that you see maybe accurately, like what card is in front of me, or what"s written on a piece of paper.

I have developed the habit to question what I see... by saying: It ain"t necessarily so, so I don"t get stuck knowing.

But you don"t have a habit to stand corrected. Your entire self is invested in being right, knowing what you know, and take no correction, no adjustment, you keep on seeing what you have decided, and you refuse to be appropriate to what is... to see things for what they are.

Taking correction is a symptom of intelligence. Taking correction is rare because it takes humility: the willingness to consider that you don"t know something, or what you know is wrong.

When humility gets a chance, it will make you look wider and deeper, so you can get the bigger picture and see things more accurately, instead of seeing what is in your mind as the only way.

3. be able to compare things even if they aren"t in front of you, and find what is more primary and what is secondary so you can do things in order

If you fail at this, if you cannot compare things and see the "order of things", what needs to get done first and what second, what you cannot see cause and effect, when you don"t see what depends on what else to be true, you are going to be a big fat failure, because in spite of all your actions your results will be nil.

Unfortunately this requires to be able to use your brain as intended. This cannot be done in the mind... and if you live in the mind, you are rendering yourself wholly unable to do this step.

It doesn"t even matter what your brain is capable of... it"s like a tractor that sits in your driveway, never driven.

Schooling, projects, courses are the best ways to activate this behavior. In my accountability program people do things that exercise this ability... because without this you won"t be able to get from A to B.

It requires thinking... rigorous thinking. Not easy. You"ll feel your limitations when you do it... and that is a good thing. The brain, thinking, is like your muscles: unless you challenge it, it will atrophy.

4. Accomplish things

People are busy, and nothing ever comes out of it. You don"t have the tools, you don"t have the path, you are just doing things with the wrong tools, no rhyme, no reason, no plan, no results.

I won"t hang out with this one... this is a result of the three...

I have been talking about expanding myself, and becoming an influencer. I have been looking for help to publish my articles as the backbone of some kindle books.

In that context I received an email from a student. She suggests that I create a program to awaken capacities in your DNA.

Her feeling is that the most important capacity, the linchpin capacity that once activated will make growth all possible, is the capacity to allow.

The bad news is that each soul correction has its own linchpin. You pull the pin, the construct falls apart...

Which means that one size doesn"t fit all, doesn"t even fit most.

And yet, some practices, some new behaviors can be done by everyone, and get ready for their linchpin to be pulled.

Removing the three major mistakes that keep your intelligence low could be the first things you need to do.

If you look, the common issues in all are two things:

  • 1. you need to learn to move yourself out of the mind, at will. This involves and is done by activating your attention and operating it like a third hand. You can"t do it? Nothing else matters. Really.

  • 2. you need to be able to put your whole existence on a different grounds of being... where there is nothing wrong, and nothing to fix. Can"t do it? not much else matters...

The current humanity (what you don"t want to be!) lives in the mind and is guided by the fundamental "truth" that things need to be fixed.

It"s everywhere, in every area of life.
The emphasis of humanity is not on living but on fixing.

And this is how we destroy the planet, and this is how we are not intelligent.

If you are not intelligent, you cannot be happy either.

Your happiness depends on your relationship to your life and your relationship to yourself. And neither can be nurturing, if things are wrong, you are wrong, they are wrong, life is wrong, and need to be fixed.

One way ticket to unhappiness. Guaranteed.

I know, I know, everything talks about so many seductive things, and you already know...

If you do... please do yourself a favor and don"t argue with me. Your arguing comes from "something is wrong and it has to be fixed"...

My point exactly.
Oh, one more thing: the method I teach to activate the attention, the third hand, is through reading in a particular way. And I will be teaching it in the Reading Class...

Maybe I should rename it: Activate your attention, activate your third hand, get out of the mind... What do you think? Please comment below...

Intellect, iq, smarts, intelligence... and the ability to raise your vibration...

We need to have a conversation about intellect, iq, smarts, intelligence... and the ability to raise your vibration...

There IS a connection.

You have what you have... as much or as little as you do.

Just like in everything, how you use what you have that matters.

NEW: Dreams: The difference between scary dreams and guiding dreams, fear versus intuition

http://yourvibration.com/pix/wp-content/uploads/4448Picture7.png
I use everything for guidance. My method of guidance is one of the magicians of The Soaring Method use for guidance. (Carlos Castaneda demonstrates it well in his Journey to Ixtlan... He calls the two, signs and omen.) But the … Continue reading →

NEW: Anger, Resentment, Disappointment: How To Liberate Yourself?

A few years ago, (maybe 3?) I went over the list of people I was angry at, or disappointed by. I made an all-out attempt to liberate myself from the bondage anger or disappointment creates. Anger, resentment, disappointment: all symptoms … Continue reading →

You can"t see and you don"t know it. You can"t hear and you don"t know it

It"s a rare opportunity to go from innocent infant to all-seeing adult, being able to observe it at the same time.

When I first did the Landmark Forum, (()) the koan of the session was: for you everything is the same as everything else, except that not always.

When you are an infant, for you everything is the same as everything else... no distinctions. No distinction between your body and the environment. You are just as ready to suck on your feet as you are ready to suck on someone else"s finger.

From time to time you"ll see something strange, like you reach out, as always, and your hands remain empty: the object you reach for is out of reach...

You learn the world, your world, slowly, and experientially. Through seeing, hearing, touching, tasting... like a baby.

NEW: The truth... or how come all the sages haven"t made a difference?

http://yourvibration.com/pix/wp-content/uploads/dd61true-life-300x168.jpg

Let me first define what I mean by "making a difference..." because there is a lot of mischief about that in common language. Because it"s been a slogan. Because it has been a bromide for so long. OK, explanation: if … Continue reading →

Who is Responsible? Or How To Increase Your Personal Power... Raise Your Vibration, Improve Your Health... etc.

One of the things that show the level of your intelligence is how much of your power you give away. Or keep for yourself and use it for what you need to do...

We, humans, are really good at playing the "blame game." That, combined with the other favorite, "suddenly," is really lethal.

I don"t have a TV, I don"t read the newspaper, but can"t avoid getting glimpses of "big news," like the cantaloupes that killed.

Let"s look beyond where the news (and probably you) stopped: what is the assumption that killed here?

NEW: Confidence: what is confidence and how can you get more confident?

http://www.yourvibration.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-evp/images/placeholder.png
Confidence is one of the words we throw around without knowing what the heck we are talking about.

In fact, it probably best approached by the symptoms of what"s there when we are NOT confident.

According to wikipedia, confidence is this

con·fi·dence

the feeling or belief that one can rely on someone or something; firm trust.
"we had every confidence in the staff"
synonyms: trust, belief, faith, credence, conviction
"I have little confidence in these figures"
antonyms: skepticism, distrust

the state of feeling certain about the truth of something.
"it is not possible to say with confidence how much of the increase in sea levels is due to melting glaciers"

a feeling of self-assurance arising from one"s appreciation of one"s own abilities or qualities.
"she"s brimming with confidence"
synonyms: self-assurance, self-confidence, self-possession, assertiveness;

NEW: How realistic are your expectations? of yourself, of your life, of your brain, or your vibration...

http://www.yourvibration.com/wp-content/uploads/castles-in-the-air-300x350.png
This article will burst your bubble... so if you are not interested, don"t read it. Just leave now, while you are ahead... Now, I said. I don"t want hate mail... OK?

I had an interesting coaching session yesterday. I spoke words I thought were dangerous and inflammatory. Turned out that instead they inspired. I am still stunned...

We are taught that we can achieve anything we set our mind to. And apart from obvious obstacles, we believe that we can. Some people are even unwilling to consider obvious obstacles. Some 25 years ago a guy with muscular dystrophy stood up in a Landmark Education seminar and declared that he is going to become an NBA ((the highest level of teams in the USA in basketball)) basketball player. He walked with a stick. Everyone could see that he was building a pie in the sky. It filled us all with doubt, and to a degree, despair.

But the obvious obstacles are that: obvious. What about the non-obvious obstacles? Do we even know about them?

NEW: When you don"t hurry, time doesn"t hurry either. When you are prepared you can afford to not hurry

http://images.yourvibration.com/uploads/full/5294d36774534.png
The article I wrote about IQ and your inability to see higher than 1 degree above your level, and about 5 degrees below your level fell on echoless silence. Hm, interesting.

I shared my findings with the woman who drives me to do my errands on every Tuesday, and watched her emotions... they were "holding your breath, playing possum, I am not here..."

I have been pondering what to make of it, and I saw it: we don"t like our bubble burst. We want our self-image stay the way it is, so all of life can stay the same.

This, in spite of all the desire to be more, live more, do more, have more. In spite of the desire to raise your vibration. Why? Because it"s scary. It is scary to hear that our worst fears are true, or maybe even worse than we feared them to be.

NEW: How Self-Awareness is the Key to Happiness, Effectiveness, Intelligent Decisions... The Sideways View

http://www.yourvibration.com/wp-content/uploads/self-awareness-2-254x400.jpg
Note: I could not find any pictures that would illustrate this principle or distinction, sorry. The illustrations are for simple self-awareness, or self-delusion, but they are funny... so enjoy. Sophie

I thought I was going to have a domestic day, you know laundry, dishes, stuff... and watch myself, my emotions, and have a good old time.

It"s Saturday, and the weather is gorgeous. My neighborhood is even prettier in the fall than in the summer: you can see far and the contrast of the blue sky and the rusty color of the leaves is really beautiful.

The thought: "I could actually be happy" cured and hung in there for a few minutes. I made myself a nice cup of tea, and checked my email.

There was a note there from Youtube that I have a comment on my "Why are Jews smart?" video, so I went to check it out.

I found hundreds of comments. All talking vile, teenage hate talk, Jew-haters, dumb comments, irrelevant, about how Jewish women are good at oral sex... and that"s what I should do to them: I leave it to your imagination what specifically.
