Become an Expanding human being aka living an interesting life

I am reading one of my all time favorite books. Again. I was guided to read it again. As I have been guided to watch everything I watch, read everything I read.

Sometimes the key to the insight is on page 800 of a book, or in episode 60 of a Netflix series.

The tricks are: trust, don"t be in a hurry, don"t expect the "key" to be a direct answer, and once you have what you were needing, acknowledge it.

This book is full of clues for me. Clues for why you are living a life of quiet desperation, why you don"t live an interesting life.

The book is about a little girl who gets an interactive smart book, to teach her life. ((Neal Stephenson: The Diamond Age, in my subscribers only area in pdf, kindle, and epub format.))

She is four years old when she gets the book.

It"s 10 o"clock, and I just reached the predictable state of "why did I do it?"

I had a remarkable learning experience today

It being Tuesday, I went to my chiropractor, like I have been for the past 30 years.

I was out of whack... limping, wheezing, hurting.

There was hardly any misalignment physically, but energetically I was a mess.

Emotional Shock Absorber... like that name?

One of the technical things a human can apply to their own life, to their emotional life, is the shock absorber.

The shock absorber reduces the load on every part of the vehicle, your foot, on your head... whereever you are utilizing it... and if used properly, your emotional and physical self.

The bombardment of humanity with negative emotions is continuous. There is no shield, there is no distance, there is no bunker that can protect you... but you can use the shock absorber...

An emotion only wreaks havoc when it"s resisted.

Inner peace... is it possible for you?

Inner Peace is elusive, like health.
What do you call peace? The lack of war? What do you call health? Lack of illness?

Imagine that you are walking in a forest, on a footpath on a beautiful summer day. The birds are chirping. There is a slight breeze. There is peace. And you may know that animals are hunting, eating another, and yet there is peace.

It seems that peace is when you are OK with how it is, good, bad, ugly, you are OK. When a ball comes your way: you catch it. When a branch blocks your way, you bend it away. When there is a climb in the path, you climb. When a stone gets in your shoe, you shake it out. No resistance. Life is good.
If you can bring that OK-ness...
