Learning lessons the hard way... or the easy way... Part 2

The brilliance in the movie, "It"s a wonderful life" is that the angel creates a thought experiment what the world would be like if our hero hadn"t been born.

Thought experiments are uniquely human: animals don"t do thought experiments.

The minimum intelligence required to create a thought experiment is 70... and I am not talking about IQ measured intelligence, I am talking about overall intelligence.

The average intelligence in the world is 50... But all my site"s visitors qualify.

So let"s look at that movie and see what is a thought experiment:

If X were different, in the movie take out the main character... and then look at different elements that you know how they are... the marriage, the loan bank, etc. The amount of happiness, the amount of difference.

Now let"s look at different examples of thought experiments, all in the area of my work of becoming someone who loves life, and lives it successfully.

Your invisible heroes... a guidance from fiction: books, movies, plays

I read today"s Monday Morning Memo, as usual, and it made me look. (())

Who are my favorite fictional characters?

At first I looked at the ones that weren"t supposed to survive, weren"t supposed to succeed, because they paralleled my own life experience.

But their influence on the multitudes was minimal, because they were about themselves, or maybe about one other person... and I saw that I have grown beyond that path. I have grown beyond the little Chinese boy"s character, my favorite as a child. I have grown beyond the deaf and blind yet dutiful character of Helen Keller, another favorite character of mine from childhood. I have even grown beyond "Socrates", the orphan boy that became the Peaceful warrior in Dan Millman"s books. The little girl in the movie "King of Masks" or BianLian. that you can watch in the subscribers" area of my site.

If a tree falls in the forest: does it make a sound?

One of the horrible things I experience, often, is that people never ask: "why should I care?"

Why that is horrible? Why that is disappointing?

Because that question would show that the pilot light of intelligence is not completely extinguished in you. You have never asked that question? Now you know what it means.

Back in 1977, shortly after I won my first architectural competition, and therefore was wealthier than most people I knew, I fell ill: my sinuses put me to bed with high-high fever. I could not sleep 24/7, so I turned to a book, Aldous Huxley"s Brave New World ((Some quotes:
Experience is not what happens to a man; it is what a man does with what happens to him.

An intellectual is a person who has discovered something more interesting than sex.

Maybe this world is another planet"s hell.

)). At some point I had a revelation: The society I lived in, the ideology I believed in, was beautiful, except that it worked for no one, no person living in it. It stifled the human spirit, stunted the growth of its people: did not allow for the evolution of humanity.

No problem can be solved on the same level of consciousness that created it

No problem can be solved on the same level of consciousness that created it. This sentence could be the cornerstone from which you finally raise your vibration, and become the person you were meant to be.

This article is crucial: if you get it, practice it until it becomes second nature, you"ll have taken the step to becoming a Human Being.

Many people search to understand the sentence in the title. Even understanding requires you to be on a different level of consciousness that created it.

You are asking because the consciousness is: a problem is wrong, it needs to be fixed.

Bring the divine to everything

Two years ago I ran a big course, it was long, and it was amazing: Activate Divinity.

One of the distinctions in that course was "bringing the divine to everything".

This is my secret to life: bringing the divine to everything. Living meditatively, instead of meditating. Communing with Source instead of going to "church", or praying...

The movie that was teaching it best, at the time, was "Babette"s Feast", a Scandinavian movie that I really loved. It"s part of the course...

But another movie has been pushing itself into my consciousness at least every other day, without me ever stopping to wonder why.

The movie is called "Chef" made in 2014. It is again about this "bringing the divine to everything"... which is in a chef"s case mostly means: every dish, every sandwich... everything.

Why I haven"t written anything in two days...

I am getting emails worrying about my well-being...

Please don"t worry. It is quite normal to write when I have something to say, and not write when I don"t.

Often what there is to say is still incubating... after all, I never write from my mind, I never write what I already know, all my writing is an act of creation. And creation cannot be forced.

Is it change your really want?

Change vs. what you really want

We all say we want to change. Change ourselves, our financial situation, our habits.

Some of us only use the word because we don"t know how to say what we mean. But most of us literally mean: change.

But there is a problem with the phenomenon: change. It actually gets you more of what you are changing.

It sounds like an oxymoron. More of what I don"t want? Yeah, that"s right. More of what you don"t want.

Manifesting: is it possible for a human?

Every Tom, Dick, and Harry teaches manifesting. Are all these people wrong?

Do I dare saying that manifesting is not possible, or will I succumb to my fear of being killed, and tell you to calm down: you can manifest, if you do it right, if you just want it bad enough?

I probably should be scared, but to tell you the truth, when it"s time, I"ll die peacefully, knowing that I lived in integrity. That is all anyone can hope for in a lifetime.

Now, with regards to this manifesting issue, here is the scoop:

Landmark Education was born in 1991. With its name change it also, appropriately, introduced a "new technology".

The new technology was based on an earlier statement or assertion: that who you are in the present is given by the future you are living into.

It was also said like this: What gives you who you are in the present moment is the future you are living into.

But, although they were illustrating this assertion with a story ((this is a story of a vacation in Hawaii... Seattle, I"ve told you in this article.)) , what they meant was this: what gives your being and consequently your actions in the present moment is who you invented yourself to be.

Let"s say you invent yourself to be a winner... what give your being and consequently your actions in the present, that no matter what you do, you"ll at least end up landing on your feet... and that makes you, automatically, a winner. And some of the time you"ll win more than just your safety or your life... you may win some stuff, some arguments, etc.
